i studied dialy dose 600 IU to 800 IU per day,but in D rise sachets it contains 60000 IU , does it becomes toxic or any adverse effect may appear ## Hi, Narendra! For short term use, you can take this high of a dosage of Vitamin D. It is so important to our overall health that these types of doses are often given to people that are severely deficient in it. However, you couldn't keep taking this for a long period of time, because you would eventually build up too much of it in your body, which could also be dangerous. Did your doctor tell you to take this?

My doctor has advised me to take this twice weekly. Will that be ok? Why did he advise to take it twice a week? ## Have you been diagnosed as being low in vitamin D? This is a supplement that is used to ensure that someone gets enough of this vital nutrient. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, and constipation. Are you on any other medications?

Iam male 65years my report says vitamin D deficiancy. Dr advised D rise sachats once in 15:days. My quesrion is after food before food or alongwith food please advise. ## Hello, Madan! How are you? There is really no special way that vitamin D needs to be taken, you can usually do so, whenever it is convenient for you. The U.S. FDA states that it may cause some nausea and constipation in some people that take it, if that occurs, you may want to take it with food to help prevent that. Is there anything else I can help with?

PINK AND WHITE CAPSULES ## I am to take Ursodial 3 times a day. I'm a late riser so would it hurt to take 2 at once? ## I know this is a late answer, but there may be other people that require the same information. So... I really have to say no, it isn't advisable to double up on any medication, unless your doctor has said it's okay to do so. The reason for it is because most medications work best by having a constant, regular level maintained in the body and that usually requires separate doses. The best thing anyone could actually do in this situation is to reschedule the times you take them, so you do it when you're awake and can fit in all 3. Perhaps one when you wake up, one at whatever time is your mid-day and then the other at bed time. Are there any questions or ...

I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer in 2001. I had radiation treatment 4 years later. Last summer my psa begin to rise rapidly. I was put on casodex & then 3 weeks later I had a lupron shot. I have not had a shot since & I continue to take 50 mg of casodex daily. My psa has stayed down for 4 months. My next blood test is April 7. Is it a bad idea to just stay on Casodex? I had hot flashes when I had the Lupron shot. I am not having hot flashes when only on Casodex. If my psa does not go up, I would like to just stay on Casodex. If my psa begins to rise I believe my Doctor plans to give me another Lupron shot. Does this seem like a good possible approach to my situation?

I am on a very low dose of methadone now. My doctor is terrified to increase it. It's obvious I need more but I'm a bit skeptical to of this leading to a never ending rise. But I'm topping up and I'm sick and in pain. He seems terrified to prescribe anything though. Are all docs like this or just some? I also have very bad problems with anxiety ruining my life. Nightmares, ptsd, etc. A pharmacist said I should be on klonopin for the night mares and the night pains. But that's another drug he won't hear of giving me. Am I with the wrong guy? Or am I with the sensible one stopping me from going down a bad road? Confused right now. Want to alleviate pain and suffering quickly but don't want to risk a worse addiction later. Has anyone had iluvien insert for Diabetic Macular Endima? What was your criteria to go for Iluvien vs other treatments? ## Hello, Chris! How are you? Inluvien is approved for us in patients who have previously tried a course of corticosteroids and had no significant rise in intraocular pressure. One provides sustained treatment for 36 months. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including cataract formation, optic nerve damage, visual field defects and secondary ocular infection. Has anyone had the experience of PSA score appearing to rise some after TESTOPEL implants being done? Three (3) months after my implants -- when it is time to do again -- my PSA is elevated, making it in the 4.77 range. I go on an antibiotic (either Duricef or CIPRO) and it comes down.
