I have been diagnosed with herpes zoster attack to my arm nerves and still not recovered from the nerves pain. does neurobion infection helps heeling the nerve to ease the pain? some says it's not good while suffering herpes zoster. ## Neurobion contains Vitamins B1, B6 and B1, so it is a supplement. It will only help with pain, if it is caused by being deficient in one of these vital nutrients. Since Herpes is not caused by that, it is doubtful that it will provide you with much relief. Is this what your doctor wants to use? ## with reference to the above reply related to Neurobione injection. My dermatologist recommended the injection and said it will ease the pain in my arm from the herpes zoster but my neurologist said not to take the injection and that it will not help. I also ...

I suffer from cervical stenosis. My neurologist gave me an occipital nerve block with Kenalog, which is cortisone, in Feb./14. This made me worse. I went to see my physiatrist and said this was bad for the neck. He wanted to give me maracain injections, but I refused because I was afraid it would give me more pain. He said to go back in 1 month and he would give me the injections. I am skeptical and afraid. Did anyone ever have maracaine injections for C2-3-4-5-6? ## Hello, Lea! How are you? Marcaine is a local anesthetic, so it should not worsen your pain. The biggest risk with it is cardiotoxicity, so if you have a heart problem, you cannot take it. Common side effects may include numbness, dizziness and vertigo. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Vervom, Thanks for the rep...

Hi. My 65 year old friend Pierre, is having very very severe sciatic pain on the right side. Sometimes so bad that he thinks of suicide. I am so very worried about him. Will Neurobion injections help him in any way to reduce the pain please? ## Hello, Louise! How is your friend doing? It really depends on what's causing the sciatic pain. Has he consulted a doctor to get to the root of the problem? Neurobion is a vitamin B supplement, the nutrients it contains can help support nerve health and function, but it is not an actual analgesic, so it may not help with every possibility that could cause such pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as including nausea and administration site reaction. ## My mom who is 65 years old is suffering from leg pain and lower back pain. Can she t...

Sir, I am 37 yrs old and diabetic. My blood glucose level is within limit. I am taking Pregabalin 75 mg BD due to continuous pains in my legs & feet. I am also taking 1 mg Glimpiride & 500 mg Metaformin HCI extended release tab in the morning & same in the evening also. Will taking Nurokind Plus injection give me relief from the pains? Please advice. ## Nurokind is just a nutritional supplement that contains Methylcobalamin, a form of Vitamin B12. It is believed to help support nerve function, but it is doubtful that it will help with your pain, if it's not caused by a deficiency in it. Is there a pain specialist that can control my pain without making out like I'm seeking drugs? I've done everything except surgery. The surgery would be extensive. 8 hour surgery with intensive rehab. I'm tiered of trying to get the steroid shots because they can not do them as frequently as I need. I would prefer to manage with medicine, but like I said the two pain specialists think I just want. Drugs. I just want a pain management system that will work. I've had scoliosis for almost 30 year s. I did well managing the pain without anything until I started working with violent students. What is better for nerve pain - Neurontin or Lyrica? I had surgery in both knees and an injection in my back. I also have osteoarthritis. ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? They have both been shown to be effective for some people, but the only way to see which one helps you is by trying one. They are both classified by the FDA as anticonvulsants that are approved to treat nerve pain and some mood disorders. Their typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Which one has your doctor recommended? ## Hi, Brenda; it may have taken me a while to come across your post but pregabalin (patent brand Pfizer LYRICA) is over twice the potency of gabapentin (Pfizer NEURONTIN). I personally can take neither - I was prescribed and titrated up to the m...

Can anyone tell me if this has been used for treatment of pain due to RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) or CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome)? Thanks for your response. Carol S ## Hello, Carol! How are you? I'm not finding anything on it being used for such. Has your doctor suggested it? ## No, I haven't been told by a doctor, but I've been researching possible ways to manage this disease for my daughter. ## No, I'm just following a thought process that possibly my daughter who has Reflex Sympathetic Dystropy, a nerve disease, was exposed to Malathion while she was living in our basement for 6 years with her family. (After a small injury as an EMT, the symptoms of RSD began. A small injury that isn't consistent with the pain of this disease usually signals the di...

I have been reading some of the discussion threads and really would love your advice. So back in 2012 I slipped two discs with one that had a tear and I have spinal stenosis. Had wonderful docs that helped me get back to some since of normalcy. I had used Gabapentin for a period of time, then came off of it once I had an injection for my right leg nerve pain and numbness. Just a note, I have never been 100 percent probably not even 75 percent. There were times when the pain in my back was so bad, I would would just be angry. A second MRI was done last year and they told me I was not a candidate for surgery and gave me other suggestions like yoga, etc. That proved to be more harmful then good. Through it all I have tried to maintain some sort of life style and dealt with the pain with Ic...

Experiencing pain on my right hip due to the sciatic nerve for the past 4 months. I was recommended to take neurobion injections once a week for 5 weeks or take neurobion 5000mg every day for 1 month. Which is better and more effective? Thanks. ## Hello, James! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Both are nothing more than vitamin B supplements. B vitamins are known to help support nerve health and function, but there's no guarantee that they will help with your problem. They can also cause some nausea, due to their potency, as reported by the FDA and may cause administration site reactions. They are also not available in the U.S. What has your doctor advised?
