need help CSHP doc disowned me on oxy yes 12 failed spine surg, I cut myself dwn to 40 mg a day, he refuses to see me anymore, I do not fool with any dangerous drugs never did, he made lot mistakes kept postponing my appt for a regular chk up ( spine is comp case 23 yrs hurt) i belive he let me go cause I am in bad health 68 and post pined my physical since May, now nob, who can I contact? I am looking into changing pain management doctors. I've been on pain management over 8 yrs. My original one stopped doing pain mgmt last year & it took forever to find one to take my case. Now, i'm starting to question him & would like to know if anyone has any recommendations. I'm taking 40MG of OXYCODONE a day & 100MCG Fentanyl patch, plus Methocarbamol. Those are the "main" ones. Any help would be really appreciated! ## Pow dr dropped me over a U/A for alcohol. I'm so tired of the war over meds or medical marijuana. I just got rocked by my dr. Now I'm in search of a new dr who may help in Colorado Springs; even a cash dr till my referral from my primary care dr gets into the system.

I'm having difficulty finding a good doctor who doesn't scrutinize or is skeptical to patients for wanting pain meds, Norco 10/325's for pain is what I have been prescribed in the past for my medical condition. I just moved from tn and had a good doctor there. Now im in Colorado and am having a hard time finding a dr that will prescribe meds until i can afford time off for surgery. I can get my medical records from tn. I work full time and I need relief through this pain. Any info would be appreciated.

I'm looking for a dr that sees out of state pain patients ## Unfortunately, due to the new regulations that were put in place as of April 1st, it's not very likely that you're going to find one. They can't treat and/or prescribe for someone that they cannot monitor regularly and your being from a different state means it would be very difficult for them to do. If you are traveling and in pain, you may be able to go to a local ER and get some assistance, but even if they help, it will only be with a small amount of something for pain just to get you through a few days. Does anyone else have any ideas?

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I've been on methadone for almost 13 yrs due to a car accident when I was a teenager that left me disabled and with chronic pain. My current Dr. Received a letter from the Medical Board ( which he let me see) explaining that in order to keep prescribing methadone that he will need to get a license that will allow him too continue to perscribe this. Technically, any doctor can prescribe it for pain, however, due to the regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist if you require it on a long-term ongoing basis. Does anyone have problems with the new Colorado "Recommendations" Laws that limits non-cancer patients to 120mg. per day? I have had 4 different doctors quit because it's become ridiculous for them in helping actual patients. I have been disabled since 1996 and have undergone 11 abdominal surgeries. I have never abused pain medication, nor filled one early. I understand trying to stop the illicit drug and Script abuse, but they are hurting myself and other legitimate patients. I wish there was a group who had the ability to bring a legal case against these policies, or something to help. Someone please help, I am 24 I just got out of the army recently and have moderate to severe degenerative disc disease, I currently don't have a vehicle so I am looking for help finding a few doctors in Colorado springs that are willing to prescribe oxycodone 30mg I AM NOT A DRUG SEEKER but that is wot has worked for me in the past.
