Phensedyl Cough Syrup use to contain Promethazine, Codeine and Pseudoephedrine, however, due to abuse, smuggling and banning in many countries, the formula was later changed to contain Pholcodine, which is deemed to have no recreational value. cough syrup, available in pharmacies in USA, but not listed in PDR. Unsure of ingredients, manufacturer or spelling. I don't believe it contains narcotics. ## I think the med you're referring to is Mytussin DAC. It contains the ingredients Codeine + Guaifenesin + Pseudoephedrine (yes, it contains a narcotic) ## Troy is correct. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and nervousness. Are there any questions I can help with?
