Hi. I was advised to take Clopilet 75 by one of the doctors when I had a mild chest discomfort. I was later told to stop it after taking it for nearly 4 months as it was causing hyperacidity and TMT was negative. Please let me know if it is good advice to stop taking it. If stopped, what are the chances of having any heart problems? So far I don't have any heart problems. Thanks. ## I'll explain a little, so maybe I can help you understand the associated risks of stopping a medication like this abruptly. Clopilet contains the active ingredient Clopidogrel, which is used to prevent blood clotting. If you take it for several months and stop it abruptly, there is a chance that it could cause a rebound effect, which means that it could cause your blood to clot too much, which may le...

I've been taking ecosprin 150 mg for the past 2 years and currently my doctor prescribed clopilet A75. Are both of these the same or what? Please tell me. ## No, they are not the same. Ecosprin only contains Aspirin, which is used for its blood thinning properties and heart health. But Clopilet A contains Aspirin and Clopidogrel, so it contains an additional ingredient to help prevent clotting. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. my mom just did an angioplasty her doc prescribed her to take clopilet 75 mg 2 dose and ecosprin 150 mg 1 dose in a day bt she mistakenly took ecosprin 2 dose and also she took clopilet 2 hrs after taking ecosprin is there any risk ? ## Ecospin just contains Aspirin and there isn't a great risk of harm if she just took two in one day, but she should be extra careful and if she notices any signs of possible bleeding, such as vomiting blood, or black tarry stools, she should seek medical attention. Learn more Ecosprin details here. Learn more Clopilet details here. She should tell her doctor about it, just to be on the safe side though. Has she called her doctor yet?

My husband had undergone angioplasty 10 months ago. He has been prescribed Cardace 10 mg, clopilet 75 mg, ecosprin 150 mg, covance D, rosuvas 20 and amlopres AT. How long should he continue with all these medicines. Is it ok if he takes either ecosprin or clopilet as in my opinion both these medicines are for thinning of blood. Please suggest. ## First, I would like to state that this site is not medical professionals, so we cannot possibly suggest any changes or duration to his use of these medications. How long he needs to use them is something he will need to discuss with his doctor, it may even need to be a lifelong thing, but only they can decide that. Now, there is probably a reason that his doctor has him on both the Clopilet, which contains Clopidogrel and the Ecosprin, which co...
