I have Amoxacillin 500 capsules they are red and black is this normal? ## It's not amoxicillin its ampicillin... on one side it has 2 triangles pointing to each other and next to those is the number 20. on the other side it has the number 5728. ## The light yellow/cream colored capsule with the impring 93 3109 is amoxicillin. I have 500mg Amoxicillin capsules for an ear infection and they are pink and blue. Last time I had an ear infection the capsules were red and yellow. I'm wondering if these were a different dosage, its been a few years but I believe they were slightly smaller. I'm hoping the ones I have now are a higher dose because it took a 4 week course to clear it up last time, and now I have a 2 month old daughter and have to stick cotton balls in my ears when she cries or I black out for a second from the pain. Can someone please help me find an 500mg amoxicillin that does not have blue or green dye in the capsule? I would also prefer any amoxicillin capsule that is not red or pink or yellow. I have problems with dyes. It was suggested to me that I call Poison Control and they told me that Duramed makes an amoxicillin that is clear and buff in color - this would be acceptable although, no dye is preferred. Can you get me 500 mg amoxicillin that has no dye or is clear and buff in color? I have a refillable Rx for 200 capsules. Can Canine Keflex/Cephalexin 500mg also be taken by humans?
