My doctor had me do a urine test. it came back positive for methadone. I am 55 and never took any methadone. I take lots of meds all prescribed by my doctor. I take xanax, neurotin, zanaflex, wellbutrole, liptor, plavex, peracet, nedulizer. Can any of them make u test positive ## I am also taking zanaflex and came back positive for methadone, which is impossible! And I finally told them to take blood. Any answers for this zanaflex people? ## It may have just been a false positive or faulty test. I take zanaflex daily and have so for a few years and never had a test come back positive for methadone. Wish I had a better answer, just my experience with zanaflex. I tested positive for klonopin approx 8-10 days after I took a 2 mg. Is there any way of making them believe it is a false positive? Since being prescribed hydroxyzine I falsely tested positive at my pain clinic for methadone. I also orally take oxycodone, lamictal, xanax, cymbalta, diphenhydramine, zantac, tums, and have an internal pain pump supplying me with dilaudid. I go to a methadone clinic, a nurse forced drug screen showed positive for xanax and clonazepam metoolites. I have not taken klonopin for two years, the clinic is adament that I had to have taken it,, and I am 100% sure I did not. I'm on a lot of meds: zantac 300 mg + Xanax 1 mg + morphine 15 mg + norcos 10mg + rendering 45mg + wellbutrin 60mg + click 150 mg + seroquel 400mg + ditropan 15 mg + flexeril 5 mg and an inhaler. I have not taken any valium and failed a drug test! I take xanax, percocet and thyroid medicine and vitamin supplements and now I've been forced to pay for an addictionologist. This is not fair and I don't want this on my record! ## My question isn't about the "phantom" valium that showed on your panel, but rather what or who is forcing you to pay for a Addiction Specialist? I was recently given a urine drug screen, followed by confirmation testing which detected 7-aminoclonazepam (Klonopin metabolite). I do NOT take Klonopin, so how is this possible? I am currently taking Methadone 49 mg once daily for Fibromyalgia pain management, Xanax (alprazolam) 2 mg twice daily for anxiety, and Lopressor (metoprolol) 25 mg once daily for Sinus Tachycardia. I'm on a methadone program that gives urine tests once a week and this weekend I was finally going to have my take homes for coming up clean for 3 months. But today they told me I failed for methamphetamine and I've never used methamphetamine in my life! I'm currently prescribed Clonidine .1mgs 3 times per day, Xanax .25mgs 3 times a day, Trazodone 100mgs at night, and Wellbutrin 350mgs once every morning. I went and had a urinalysis done, it came back positive for Methamphetamine. I took a dollar store pain reliever, sinus meds, and Seroquel. My daily medications are: 200 mcg synthroid in the morning, seroquel 100 mg at hs, Xanax 1 mg 3 times a day but only take 2 mg with seroquel at bedtime for sleep and occasionally 1 prn, 20 mg Lasik prn, 20 meq potassium prn, vitamin b-12 1 time a day, Sudafed prn, albuterol 2 puffs daily prn and had just had a work evaluation that I got excellent on all levels. Benadryl can make you test positive for methadone and or suboxne . 4 out of 10 times you will get a false positive on a plastic cup urine drug screen. If you are in fact CLEAN demand that you have a blood test done. No your probation cannot be revoked on a urine screen it must be a blood test. I just went to my pain dr, and had to take a urine drug test..it came back positive for benzo's, i was told that i had to have taken something like xanax or valium...but i have not taken anything but roxicodone, soma, and methadone....Is there anything that could make a positve result for benzo??? I am stummped, because i know i didnt take any benzo...but i did take the new generic roxi 224, could that have anything to do with it....help im lost ## None of the medications you mentioned, the Roxicodone, Methadone or Soma are known to cause false positives for Benzodiazepines. There are a few other medications that can cause false positives for them. Had you taken anything else, even over the counter products?

I am taking this medication along with levothyroxine for my thyroid and xanax for anxiety. Is it possible that these drugs mixed together along with sudafed can cause a false reading for methamphetamines on a swab test? ## It is highly possible that it was just caused by the Sudafed. The Pseudoephedrine in some of their formulations has been known to cause false positives for various types of Amphetamines, including Methamphetamine, since it is actually a distant relative.
