What are the chances for me being pregnant? I was also on an antibiotic from the 25th of July until the 30th of July, Please help ## Hi, Clover! Have you done a pregnancy test? If you've missed pills, been active, and were on an antibiotic, then your chances of getting pregnant were definitely increased. You should consult your doctor to have a test done and to discuss your future birth control options. If you have trouble remembering to take pills regularly, there are others that you can use to avoid s...

Hi my name is Dudu. I've been on the oralcon tablet for about a year now. I have never missed a tablet but this past weekend I did, by mistake. Friday I took my tablet normally @ 6am on that friday we went for a family function. Saturday morning I had realized that I forgot my pills @ home & we would be back sunday. So wen we got back on sunday I took both saturday & sunday dose together which was around 1pm. Monday morning I took my normal dose @ 6am & had intercourse 10min later. Is there a possibility that I could fall pregnant? I'm worried. Pls help. Thank you. ## Hello, Dudu! How are you? Yes, a missed pill means that there is a risk of pregnancy. You'll need to wait and see if you get your next period and if you don't, then get checked for pregnancy. Th...

I stopped taking oralcon feb 15th after I had my withdrawal bleeding and haven't had my period since. Can I be pregnant after a negative home test? I used to get my periods twice a month even though I took my tablets everyday. I was on oralcon for a year. ## Hello, Charlie! How are you? Yes, there is a chance, if you've were actively engaging in intercourse, after stopping them. Not all home tests are accurate, especially very early. But it may also just be due to stopping the contraceptives. It can take a few months for your body to balance the hormones back out on its own. How long were you on the Oralcon? ## Hi. I have been on oralcon for 3 to 6 months. I last got my periods on the 19th of June 2018. Then I stopped taking the pill on July 5th. If I skipped 2 days I got my per...

Hi. I'm an Oralcon user and just wanna understand, I've taken five red pills but nothing is happening. I just want to know if I might be pregnant or what? I had period pains when I took the first one. ## Hi Laura, When it comes to any form of hormonal contraceptive, it's important to understand that they can all cause irregular or missed periods as a common side effect. This is just the nature of what happens when your hormones fluctuate. It seems that this side effect concerns many users here on the site, as I see it posted fairly often - but in reality there's nothing to be overly concerned about when "nothing happens". Most labels for these types of medications suggest that if the tablets have been taken as directed, this will almost certainly not mean that th...

Hi I've been taking the pill for 4 months and about a week now . I stopped the pill 5 days ago and are bleeding so I was just wondering wen I can get pregnant ## Hello, Blommie! How are you? Unfortunately, I really don't have an answer for you. It can vary from woman to woman, some women manage to get pregnant immediately and some don't, because it may take a few months for their bodies to rebalance their hormones on their own and for ovulation to occur. Have you consulted your doctor?

I wanted to know if I could use oralcon pills and if there's still a chance of me getting pregnant while taking them? I'm asthmatic. Can the pills interfere with my medication? ## Hi, I used oralcon for the1st time in december 29. That was the beginning of my new cycle for only 5 days. It made me sick, then I stopped it. My periods continued till the 12 Jan. Was feeling weak then went to the Dr on the 12 Feb. Pregnancy test was faint positive. Am I really pregnant, or are my periods are still to come since I have menstrual cramps? ## Hi, I have been on the contraceptive pill for 7 years now (Oralcon). I am a very consistent individual where my periods are concerned. I have never missed a period once ever. The only time I did not have a period is when I found out I was pregnant w...

Ive discovered that today i missed taking my oralcon tablet as usual. I want to know should i take both oralcon tablets at the same time 2moro? And does this increase my chances of falling pregnant? ## Hello, Bianca! How are you? No, you should take it as soon as you notice you missed it. The only way you should be taking 2 together is if you don't realize that missed one, until you go to take the next one. And yes, every missed one can increase your risk of pregnancy. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi I'm taking oralcon for the first time in my life, I've never used contraceptives before so the Dr gave these to me to regulate my cycle. My husband an I have been trying to have a baby but we failed because of my irregular cycle. So if I take them for a month and stop, could it be possible to conceive the following month? ## It is possible, but it would be a very rare occurrence, according to FDA reports. This contraceptive prevents ovulation, and it can often take a few months for your body to regulate things, so you will ovulate again, in order to become pregnant. How irregular is your cycle and how long have you been trying to become pregnant? Are you on any other medications? ## I have been on oralcon f for a month now and i want to know for how long will it take me to be...

If my girlfriend is pregnant, is it bad if she is still on the Oralcon pill, and if it is, which side effects does it give? ## Yes, she shouldn't be taking it if she is definitely pregnant. If a woman misses pills or has some other issue that causes her to end up pregnant while taking them, she needs to stop taking them as soon pregnancy is confirmed and see her doctor. Are you sure that she's pregnant?

How are you? You're bleeding, because you've missed pills. Hi I'm nthabiseng and I have just started using oralcon...it was given to me by a nurse/sister at the clinic, she told me to take it same day given to me after I told her I took my periods two weeks back and as I read the intruction it states you must take them on the first day of your periods.....my question is that (will it work preventing me from being pregnant or not).....I'm a bit CONFUSED because I did as intructed at the clinic!!! ## If you start taking them on the first or second day of your period, then you will be immediately protected from pregnancy. However, if you start them at any other time during your cycle, they must be taken for a full 7 days, without missing any tablets, in order for them to reach their efficacy level in your body and protect you from pregnancy...

Hi! I am 26 years old.I have been take oralcon for a 3 day now.but I drink it at diffirent time around seven or eight sametime, can I fall pregnate ## If you are new to taking it and aren't on your period when you started it, then it takes 7 days to be effective and prevent pregnancy. As long as you keep it within a few hours, you'll be okay. The problem really arises when there's a lapse of 24 hours or more and you completely miss taking one or more tablets. But if you take one a 7 one day, then at 8 the next day, that's fine. It doesn't have to be exactly 24 hours on the dot. However, getting in the habit of taking it at the same time every day will really help you to remember, so you may want to leave yourself a reminder to take it each day, such as right when you ...

I am using oralcon contraception, but since the beginning of April i haven't seen my period. Is it possible to get pregnant while on this? ## All oral contraceptives carry a slight risk of still getting pregnant. I believe it could be a 1-10% estimated possibility depending on the brand; but in my opinion that merits reason enough to use another form of protection. Irregular periods however, are a general side effect of these types of medications; so it's not always something to be overly concerned about. This may simply be due to a fluctuation in your hormones. To make using oral contraceptives as safe and reliable as possible, you should understand how and when to take them and what side effects may be expected. A paper with information for the patient should've been given...

Hi. I've had the Nexplanon implant since March 2017, and because my periods come more often (like twice or 3 times a month) or get longer (10 days or more), my doctor told me to take Oralcon to stop the bleeding- a pill a day for 5 days. I'm just wondering if using Nexplanon and Oralcon together would cancel each other out and make me pregnant, or mess me up in some way. Thanks.

Hi. I've started taking oralcon on Saturday but in different times. So tonight I had intercourse with my boyfriend and the condom burst. Does that mean I'm pregnant now? Please reply ASAP Thank you ## Hi, Sassy! How are you? Did you start them the first day of your period? If you start them the first day of your period, then you are immediately protected against pregnancy, since they will prevent ovulation. However, if you weren't on your period, when you started taking them, then yes, there is a risk of your getting pregnant, because it takes 7 days for them to become effective in your body. The only thing you can really do now is wait a week or two and then check for pregnancy. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Help I stopped taking the pill. had intercourse with ...

I had an emergency pill about 3 weeks before i started using the Oralcon pills, and took my 1st pill on the 2nd day of my menstruation, although my periods were not normal because of the emergency pill, but i still had my periods at that time, with less bleeding than usual. I'm on my 3rd pack of the Oralcon pills now, and i never had any periods since my 2nd pack, even when I'm on the red pills. I'm worried now, i want my periods back. Is there any possibility that I'm pregnant? I never skipped any pills and i always took them at the same time everyday. Or its it because i started using the Oralcon pills with abnormal periods? Wanted to know how long it would. Take for me to fall pregnant after using oralcon for nearly more then 3 years. ## hey I stopped using oralcon last year round about September month. and I was on oralcon for 3years. last year December I found out I was 3 and half months pregnant. so when you stop taking the pill for at least almost 2 months you can get pregnant. and my husband are trying for another baby now coz baby never made it ## Hello Esa, According to the NIH as soon as you stop taking the medication regularly you can technically get pregnant however some medical professionals warn that it may be better to wait a few months. The primary reasons for this is so you can observe your menstrual cycle and ensure there are no medical complications coming off of the birth control and a fo...

Am using oralcon for the first time. I just wanted to know when will I have my periods because I am now taking the red pill, am on the 3rd pill, but still nothing. Am now worried, can I be pregnant? ## Usually when you first start taking birth control, it's contraceptive effects generally don't take full effect until the first couple weeks or month after you begin treatment. Although I think this long time frame/waiting period may vary according to the brand. I'm not sure if your doctor or gynecologist also mentioned this, but irregular periods and missed periods are common side effects associated with these types of medications. This is largely due to the fluctuation in hormone levels, which ultimately have a direct impact on your menstrual cycles. Have you taken a pregnanc...

Hi...I'm 21 years old and have been ttc since 2012!this is my second day of taking oralcon pills, the doctor told me it could help with finally conceiving...anyone have any thoughts on this?I hve had tests done and it showed I am ovulating every month!I have a 3month supply of these pills ## Contraceptives are not going to help you conceive, they prevent pregnancy. You won't get pregnant while taking these. Your doctor may have given them to you in hopes that suppressing ovulation for a few months may increase the chances of your getting pregnant, once you're done taking them and you ovulate, again. Is there anything else I can help with? ## That's my thoughts as well!My grandmother took 4 years to fall pregnant with her and but my mom had no problems at all do u think it...
