What is The Difference in a Big round peach color MS Contin 60 mg extended release and a Small round orange MS Contin 60 mg extended release are they same pills ## does MS Contin have an antagonist drug encapsulated in it to prevent misuse? I suffer from chronic pain from a severe back injury and My Generic MS Contin seems like it isn't working nearly at all! Need some help & advice please re: my ms contin 60mg pills. Been taking 4 yrs. 2xs day. Also have dilauidid as needed 4 breakthru pain. Really not fond of relying on do much meds & would like 2 try & cut back on the ms contin if possible by myself. But HOW in the world do you CUT those little HARD HARD beads??? come on!!?! I Take ms60 mg er, I know the pill Hell's up if crushed, however these pills are strong and really affect my breathing but work great for severe pain. My question is; can I cut the 60mg er pill in half without destroying the pill? I'm not snorting or shooting, would only like to take less at tines, especially before bed. These tablets slowly release the medication over a 12 hour time period. By crushing it, you risk getting too much of the Morphine at once, which could cause an overdose. An overdose could cause severe organ damage and death. Do you have trouble swallowing the tablets? ## Yes, you can crush it and insuffulate it as it is water soluble.
