I've been taking METOPROLOL TARTRATE 50MG tablets, white, round, with # 477 from Walgreens. Recently switched to Walmart and transferred prescription. The Walmart pill is pink, round with # C74. Are these tablets the same strength and used to treat high blood pressure? ## Hello, Fred! How are you? Yes, the tablets with the C 74 marking are manufactured by Aurobindo Pharma and they list them as containing 50mgs of Metoprolol. The FDA classifies this medication as a beta blocker, its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, hair loss, stomach pain and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is the C74 the same as the 477??? ## Yes, they have just been made by different manufacturers.
