What is it and why is it prescribed? Is this pill an opioid? I found it in my kid's bedroom and I would like to know what type of medication it is. ## Hi Frank, A white oval pill marked with I 71 on one side and blank on the other is reportedly identified as Bupropion hydrochloride extended release (300 mg). This medication is marketed as an antidepressant with a number of other off-label uses as well. For verification, the manufacturer is listed as InvaGen Pharmaceuticals and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 76282-0481. I hope this helps! ## It is a pain reliever. Tramadol hydrochloride 50 mg ## This identification is wrong, FYI. The first answer was correct. This pill is not Tramadol, it is Buproprion 300mg.

I have yellow oblong pill with 48 on one side and either D or A on the other side. If its an A then the A is rounded and the peak of the A. ## I have a yellow oblong pill with a "48" on one side and an uppercase "A" -OR- an uppercase "D" on the other. Since we're unlikely to have two scenarios please try all likely combinations. ## The imprint of "D 48" doesn't bring back any results that relate to your description. Based on the description provided of "A 48", I found your yellow oblong pill to be Glyburide + Metformin (5 mg - 500 mg). This pill is manufactured by Aurobindo Pharma. blue round ## 4853 V is 5 mg Oxybutynin ## This is a generic for Ditropan to control overactive bladder. ## thank you. i have another pill mylan 457 white round. ## Ellen, Mylan 457 is 1 mg Lorazepam (generic for Ativan). It is used to treat anxiety and nervousness. ## Abe is correct with his ID, these types of pills are Benzodiazepines similar to Xanax or Valium. ## oxybutynin is marked M with an O5 underneath it and a lighter blue than oxycontin. i have a prescription for it, so butynin, so unless i've been given the wrong pill by the pharmacy for two years, you're wrong. ## if any of you would ever TRY the 4853 v, it is NOT oxycotin. it is for bladder control. I have two v4812 pills, they look like they are legit but one is light blue and the other is Obviously darker... Should I be concerned about quality at all? Were they just made by two different manufacturers? Or are they using different types of dyes now, can anyone shed some light on this... ## If you had both pills filled at a licensed pharmacy then I don't think you should have anything to worry about... But if not, then I would certainly be questioning where you got them from. No two manufacturers share the same pill imprint for the same drug... so that theory is out the window in my opinion. If they are real, then perhaps it's feasible to assume that two different dyes were used in two different batches that got mixed together and put into the same prescription bottles. If ...

I have 2 different types of pills that are supposed to be exactly the same. One is round, white and has a line across the back of it, and on other side it has in big numbers 54 and under that is the number 543. The other pill is flat, smooth, white, plain on one side and on the other side it has the number 4839 with a line under that and a kind of cursive V. I received the latter one a while ago when I had dental work done and it helped me so much. My general practitioner prescribed the first one for major pelvic and lower back pain and they are supposed to be the exact same thing and I assure you they are not. I cannot pinpoint the difference. Is it a different manufacturer or just one little ingredient difference? I must find out the answer to this, because I am in massive pain and sc...
