is this medication appropriate for treatment of swelling in the ethmoid sinus? ## Although this medication is used a pain reliever for headaches (containing Butalbital, Acetaminophen, and Caffeine) I don't think it has anti-inflammatory properties. That said, I don't know if it would actually help with swelling, although it should relieve some of the pain. ## Butalb-Acetaminophen was prescribed for my severe frontal lobe/ sinus headaches. The Prescription reads "take one tablet every 6-8 hours as needed for headache". Well, they're 100% right on! If yoy WANT a headache that lasts 6-8 hours after administering, take one! I take Suboxone for fear of ever being back on the evil Methadone and it's working wonderfully. But I get horrid migraines and have these Butal with 30mg COD and was wondering if withdrawal would take place because of Naloxone? Bbuck ## It won't hurt. It won't help. You'll simply waste the meds ## It is the COD that is actually the narcotic, that stands for Codeine and the Naloxone in the Suboxone will neutralize it, so there's no point in taking it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you determine what medication may help. ## I have felt Norco 12 hrs after suboxen. I still fe...

Is it okay to take Butal Caf Apap Cod Cap along with Levaquin and 4 mg.of Warafin ? ## Has your doctor advised you to take them together? The main issue is that the amount of Acetaminophen you take in a day, when on Warfarin, has to be closely monitored and limited to less than 2,000mgs a day, due to the fact that it can increase your risk of bleeding.

I have Ulcerative Colitis. Had a Migraine, took a Butal Caf and felt normal 1st time in 2 years! Ever heard of this? Also I have NO side effects from Butal. ## Hi Lainy, Based on my research, the combination of butalbital + acetaminophen + caffeine is intended as a treatment for tension headache. It is also commonly prescribed for migraines and other pain related ailments - although it is "not FDA indicated" for these uses in the U.S. On another note, the prescribing information for this drug recommends contacting your doctor before using this medication if you happen to have any abdominal/stomach problems (such as: stomach ulcer, colitis). From what I'm seeing, it's hard to say if those with colitis should even be taking this medication, but if you sense that it's w...
