round off white with WPI 3332 ## It doesn't seem to have the same effect as wellbuterin xl 300. Headaches.... ## And you are just one of the many, many people in recent months who has complained about this exact same pill. Contrary to what you are told by doctors and pharmacist, generics DO NOT HAVE TO BE EXACTLY like the name brand, there are allowed to be some difference and for some people, even though these differences are considered minor, it is enough to mean that a generic will not work for them as well as the name brand. I suggest speaking to your doctor about the problem, you may need them to prescribe it as 'brand medically necessary' or see if other pharmacies in your area carry one that is made by a different company. ## Genetics were only required to have 80% of...

Look, folks: You cannot talk about a generic buproprion without determining its manufacturer. There are quite a few generics out there, but it makes no sense to ask questions about a pill's appearance: name its manufacturer instead and then get your discussions going. ## Actually, the appearance can help determine the manufacturer, since some of them look different, but the markings/imprint must be included in the details. Learn more Bupropion details here. And this is true of all medications that are available as generics, not just Bupropion. Are there any comments or questions? ## Who makes the generic Wellbutrin XL150 marked "141" with no name? This is not effective for me and makes me more depressed and anxious and hands shake. ## HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD A PROBLEM WITH GENER...

I've been taking Watson bupropion 150 XL (first 2 daily, then increased to 3 daily) for many years. I found all the other generics ineffective or worse.( I took brand before generics were approved). When the FDA declared testing showed Watson 300 XL and two other generics were not found to be bioequivalent to brand, Watson "voluntarily" withdrew the 300 XL. Evidently the 150 XL was also taken off the market, because it cannot be found anywhere, either in mail order or retail pharmacies. Does Watson's Acquisition of Actavis mean the Actavis buproprion is Watson's formula or Actavis'? I'd be interested in more feedback here on the Actavis generic and the Par that I'm now taking, which for me is the equivalent of taking absolutely nothing. I've been so s...

I took Wellbutrin and Wellbutrin XL for several years. It worked well for depression. I was then switched to the generic, Bupropion Hcl XL. This also worked well. I was then switched to "Buprop 24 XL". After a month or so, I had serious side effects. (Muscle spasms, increased depression, and my hands shook such that it affected my writing and the use of a keyboard.) About 2 months ago I switched back to the brand drug, Wellbutrin, and am almost back to normal. If Buprop 24 XL is identical to Wellbutrin (and to Bupropion), why the side effects? What companies make each of the three different drugs? ## Well to be honest, the generics and name brands aren't necessarily identical. I know they tell you that and they do so because for most people, it doesn't make a difference....

My pharmacy has been giving me refills of the generic bupropion for my last two refills that are manufactured by CIPLA. The pill is oblong and has the number 13 on one side and what appears to be a capital I on the other side. I do not feel that this generic is doing much for me. I have researched this manufacture they are located in India. Approximately 45% of the medications that are sold in the United States are manufactured in foreign countries. I am going to call my pharmacy to see if they can get one of the generics that were previously dispensed to me. The buyers for drugs at pharmacies look to find lower priced drugs, which I understand. I have been taking Wellbutrin XL 150 mg three tablets daily for about eight years including the generic form. This medication helped my severe ...

Is this the same as Wellbutrin? ## To answer your question, yes, Bupropion is the generic version of Wellbutrin (the brand name). You can view more information about this drug by visiting the link below: Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## Yes, Bupropion is the active ingredient in Wellbutrin, so it's the generic for it. Most generics are just called by the name of the active ingredient, rather than a trade name. It enables the manufacturers to save money, since doing it that way doesn't require them to file any patents or trademarks. You can learn more here: Is there anything else I can help with? ## How do you ease off Buprop. I think it's time to ween off

I am a scientist working in pharmaceutics and I want to make sure we have the best generics as Wellbutrin is expensive! To do that I need really straightforward feedback! (specifically on 300mg XL) If you could list the makers/name of the formulation and your experience: (ie.) Wellbutrin XL : works Mylan: works, some pain Anchen: doesn't work. lots of pain This will be greatly appreciated! ## Wellbutrin contains the active ingredient Bupropion, which is an atypical antidepressant that's also used as a smoking cessation aid, so I am not sure what you are going for with the pain aspect here, since it's not an analgesic of any type. Thus, you may want to list the generic name and what you're actually looking for, since it seems you aren't talking about considerations th...

A small white round tablet inscribed with A 102, is this Wellbutrin? ## I can't find anything listed under this, can you please double check the imprint? ## I get bupropion xl 300mg tablets, and they say a 102 on them. It used to be an oval pill (light yellow, number 682) Don't worry it is the Generic. =) ## Thank you Alice for providing this information. Sometimes generics are released so fast, that it takes awhile for the professional prescription databases to keep up, so some things aren't always found listed right away when they are new on the market. ## it is A102, not 102, by the way. =) ## Thanks Alice, I did find it listed under the A 102, the professional database I use updates regularly and this one was just added. It is Bupropion 300mgs, a generic for Wellbutrin XL.

Does anyone know where to find the ingredients in this new generic bupropion xl 300mg. It's yellow and I had a problem with the sr when it went generic. That one was a bright yellow pill that smelled nasty. I had a reaction to it and broke out in hives. Now I get these 300mg pills and they stink too. I called the by mail pharmacy when they sent me a letter stating that welbutrin xl was going generic and spent 20 minutes on the phone with a pharmacist trying to find some info on this new generic and she couldn't help me. ## Well, without having the markings from the tablet, so we could find out which company made it, it will be very hard to find that information. The inactive ingredients do not have to be the same between the name and generics, nor do they have to be the same fro...

Anyone take generic Wellbutrin made by Par pharmaceuticals? How is it working for you? ## I haven't taken this particular manufacturer's generic form of Wellbutrin (Bupropion), but thought I'd provide some additional information on it for those readers who may be trying to compare it with other brands/generics they may or may not have already tried. Bupropion XL made by Anchen Pharmaceuticals (of whom Par Pharmaceuticals purchased in 2011) are the small white round tablets imprinted in black ink with "A 101" or "A 102" for the 150mg/300mg doses, respectively. Each 150mg (A 101) pill reportedly contains the following set of inactive ingredients: alcohol + ethylcelluloses + hydrochloric acid + hydroxypropyl cellulose + povidone + silicon dioxide Each 300mg (A 1...
