I have some blue 1 mg alprazolam, generic for Xanax, pills that have the R031 on them. I would like to know if they are time release or if I took them with my regular 2 mg brand-name Xanax bars, with the Xanax on one side and the 2 on the other, if I would get the same effect or if the blue ones are time or extended release and would not work the same? ## Hello, Tom! OK, so I have some red xanax bars. They are a light red color and they are a round shape. Ok I've been taking Xanax for years, the green bars in my opinion r weak. The blue r strongest as white one also. The yellow I'd say r number 3 in strength. Don't care for the green ones at all. What strength are they as opposed to the blue 10mg version? Whites being 2mg? ## With any pill, and learn this as it is VERY important! The color of a pill means nothing. I just filled my script that was Supossed to be Xanax 1 mg extended release.. Xr or ER.. Anyway I my meds are usually a bigger white pill.. Is a green Xanax bar stronger than the white ones ## You ask about Blue, Green, and White. Different makers color them differently. Xanax bars are 2 MG. The little Xanax pills come in different colors and shapes as well although they can be of different strengths. Also there is an ER version of Xanax that might come in different forms as well. Hi, I'm Joey. I've been prescribed Xanax for 7 years now, and I've had all kinds. I had yellow, green, white bars ... then my doctor switched my dose down to 1 mg and I've been on those for the last 4 years. I personally prefer the oblong G3721 Alprazolam, they're a lot better than other kinds that I have been dispensed. It just so happens that the only version my pharmacy carries are G3721. I highly recommend them over the typical bar shaped tablets. The colors don't matter, they're all the same, only thing different is the manufacturer. But you guys be careful out there. How do you avoid the passing out side effect and waking up forgetting everything?? Everytime I take a Xanax whether it the bars or this blue oval pill it knocks me out. Should I cut it in halfs?? ## You really should have been started on the lowest dose possible, certainly not the 2 mg bars? Can i mix these too pills at the same time? ## You'd be taking the equivalent of 3 mg of Xanax. That is a high dose so unless you take them like I do, i take 3 --2mg bars a day prescribed legally. So it wouldn't phase me, but if you aren't taking these pills on a everyday basis then you will possibly go to sleep for good.
