I was prescribed these meds a few years ago. They were in a sample foil pack. I can't remember what they were for. They were oval shaped with G 3721 on one side and a score mark down the middle on the other side. Can anyone tell me what they are? ## Hello, Williebee! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Greenstone Limited and they list it as containing 1mg of Alprazolam, which is a generic for Xanax. It is a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

how can you check to see if the pills are real or fake(besides looking at them) ## ## If they are the name brand, from the U.S., then twe's post should be helpful. There are, however, also many generics on the market and many available from foreign countries, as well. The legal, U.S. generics are required by law to have some type of imprint on the tablet, to enable their identification. If the tablets you are questioning are from the U.S. and have an imprint, then if you post back with it, I can easily look it up for you to see if it contains Alprazolam. Just as an example, a round blue pill, with the marking of MYLAN A1 on one side contains 1mg of Alprazolam. A blue oval tablet, with the marking of G 3721 on one side also contains 1mg. The only other alternative, if you've ord... ...

Oval blue pill scored with g3721 ## The actual medication name is Xanax, though it is very commonly misunderstood. The tablet in question, with the G 3721 marking contains 1mg of Alprazolam, which is a generic version. Xanax is a Benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders, though there are other off-label uses, such as treating insomnia, or certain cases of hypertension. Are there any questions or comments? You can discover more Xanax details here. ## Can Xanax treat manic depression? ## I can honestly say that Zantex will not cure manic depression. Zantac will help with indigestion and Xanax will help with anxiety and other conditions. ...

xanax 10 scored film coated oblong purple color ## First, I would like to state that there is no 10mg Xanax on the market, it is only available in a maximum of 2mgs of Alprazolam. That said, are there any markings on the tablets? It is the markings that enable us to identify them. I am also not finding any purple tablets, but there are several blue, oval tablets, some of the markings include: G 3721, 1mg GG 258, 1mg 2089 V, 1mg BP 632, 1mg 605, 1mg and ALP 1 APO. And this is not a comprehensive list, since it is available as a generic. Can you post back with the markings on the tablets in question? ## The only markings on this tablet are Xanax 1.0 - not 10. There is nothing else on it at all and it is coated with a film, whereas alprazolam is not and is blue, the supplier said it is a b... ...
