I read an article on-line that said methylparaben and bisacodyl are ratio-morphine ingredients in Dulcolax tablets. I am mainly trying to find out if any of the ingredients in Dulcolax tablets have morphine in them. ## Hello, Verna! How are you? I think the person that wrote the article was somewhat confused, because there is no Morphine in Dulcolax. Learn more Dulcolax details here. As a matter of fact, Ratio-Morphine actually refers to the Morphine that's manufactured by a specific pharmaceutical company, Ratiopharm and this is how generics are referred to in Canada, instead of just calling them Morphine, or Oxycodone, they use the company name, so other medications may be dispensed as APO-Tramadol and etc. Bisacodyl is a distant derivative of methane, so perhaps they misunderstoo...

I see lots of people here who need a cheaper alternative to Suprep. The Mayo Clinic recommends 8 Bisacodyl(Ducolax) tablets and 2 bottles of Magnesium Citrate split over 2 doses. This is just as good as Suprep and produces the same result. Many other clinics have similar recommendations. Do an internet search for "Ducolax and Magnesium Citrate bowel prep instructions". In my opinion, Suprep is just a convenience. The end result for either method is the same. You take laxatives and drink clear fluids until nothing comes out but clear fluids. It's not rocket science. ## Thank you for providing this information, William! I am sure that it will help many. But, before anyone follows these instructions, please check with your doctor and make sure that it is safe for you to do so. ...

I have suffered constipation for years- sometimes no BM for weeks. Eventually- I just stopped all BM completely. I resorted to bisacodyl once per week. Eventually, I had to take 4 at a time- until that stopped working. Scheduled colonoscopy but the prep didn't work. Second prep did only because I mixed it with large amounts of bisacodyl. Results showed nothing. Doctor gave me linzess. 145 mg didn't work. 290 mg also didn't work. So, again, I took lots of bisacodyl. After that, I started the linzess again- after the clean out, I am now having BM every other day. Very loose but after the BM it's not like I'm running to the bathroom all day. I suspect I will have to periodically take the bisacodyl to keep things moving- but maybe only once every couple weeks instead of ...

small round orange pill with a number five on it ## Hi Tiff, There's actually two different pills that fit this description. The first is Bisacodyl (5 mg), which is typically prescribed for relief of constipation. And the other pill is Citalopram hydrobromide (10 mg); which is an antidepressant drug used to treat major depression associated with mood disorders. Do either of these two drugs sound familiar? The Bisacodyl pill appears to be more of a shiny reflective color of orange with the number 5 in black font if that helps! Please post back if you have any more questions or information to add! ## hi, Im tying to find out what kind of pill I found in my parents car.it is about 6 mm in diameter, round with #5 imprinted on one side, blank on the other side and orange in colour.
