is biotin good for lowering blood sugar levels in diabetics ## No, so far it hasn't been shown to do so by itself. However, there are some studies that show it can help when combined with Chromium. You can learn more Chromium details here. You can learn more Biotin details here. This combination has been known to help some people that have been resistant to medications, but there are no known specifics, it may help their body use the medications more efficiently, or just improve the way their body works with sugars. What medications do you currently take for it?

Is this drug safe to use every day for always and is this the strongest it is made? Also does it really grow hair on the head? Thank you. rosie ## Biotin Forte is actually a nutritional supplement, not a medication. The nutrients it contains are vital to overall health and a deficiency in them can cause health problems. It contains: Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 100 mg, Thiamin (as thiamin HCI) (vitamin B1) 10 mg, Riboflavin (vitamin B2) 10 mg, Niacin (as niacinamide) 40 mg, Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCl) 25 mg, Folic Acid 800 mcg, Vitamin B-12 (as cyanocobalamin) 10 mcg, Biotin 5 mg and Pantothenic Acid (as calcium D-pantothenate) 10 mg. As a supplement, it will only help with hair growth if the hair loss is caused by a lack in one or more of the nutrients it contains. If your hair loss...

So my question is this the label on bottle says to take one soft gel 1 to 5 times a day with meals, and its 1000mg. Is it only one pill needed or 5 pills? ## Hello, Audrey! How are you? Did you mean 1,000 micrograms? Biotin isn't dosed in milligrams. Those instructions mean that you can take anywhere from one to 5 per day. This is classified by the FDA as a nutritional supplement, but since a deficiency in it is so rare, there actually isn't an RDA for it, but most supplements recommend 5,000mcgs per day. The FDA doesn't list any known side effects, but if you have any medical conditions or are on any medications, please check with your doctor, before taking it. ## Usually biotin or any other vitamins comes in micrograms not milligrams! If you take over 5000 micrograms you c...

medical side effects such as light headness confusion and will they go away if i continue to us them/ ## Hello, Sally! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Biotin is a vitamin supplement and usually doesn't cause such issues, the FDA lists its typical side effect as being nausea, due to its potency. Why are you taking them? Has your doctor told you to do so? What brand are you taking and how much are you taking?

I wanted to know if I can take biotin while taking metoprolol? I just want to make sure before I start. ## From what I've researched, Biotin can be naturally found in your body (and is produced by bacteria in your GI tract to aid in digestive functions). It also naturally occurring in many foods. Therefore, I am of the opinion that Metoprolol shouldn't negatively interact with what is already normally present in your body...Otherwise, the medication would be deemed useless for all human consumption...Lol. According to The University of Maryland Medical Center, "although there is no evidence that biotin interacts with any medication, there are some medications that may lower biotin levels." Source: I hope this helps! ## Can i take Biotin with metoprolol? ## You should be ...

I have found that Biotin Forte is a good vitamin if you want your hair to grow and repair. They use this Biotin Forte on Cancer patients, after surgeries and so on. It is usually $12.50 over the counter, and I've tried the Vitaline brand - 30 capsules @ 5 mg. Seemed to have positive results. ## Hello, Jenni! How are you? Yes, Biotin has been found to help with some type of hair loss, depending on what has caused the hair loss. Some people that lose hair due to stress or a vitamin deficiency get great results with it. The price varies, but it is available fairly inexpensively in most health and vitamin shops. When it comes to cancer patients, their hair will usually return on its own, once they are done with their treatment protocol. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I need to know if it's true that it helps offset the loss of hair some people experience(1/3 of hair some need wigs) and what are the dosages 10,000 mcs or mls plus Vit B complex and what vitamins/mineral supple ments? ## Biotin may help, but the only way to find out is for you to try it. However, you should always check with your doctor to make sure that it's safe for you to do so. You shouldn't exceed the dosage suggested by your doctor or on the product packaging. There is no proven supplement protocol that I can give you, I'm sorry, I wish there were. Vitamin E is also said to help with the health of your hair, so that could be another to try, if your doctor says it is safe for you to take. Does anyone else have any suggestions to add? ## I believe that while you are...

The 11 ingredients are as follows: Vitamin c, Biotin, chromium aspartate, garcinia cambogia, gymnema sylvestre, cinnamon, bitter melon, betaine HCL, banaba, fenugreek, and vanadium. They are listed on the back of the bottle. ## Hi Rose, Thanks for taking the time to post the ingredients. From what I've seen lately, this is the first time someone on here has actually been able to locate a full list of ingredients for DBX-13, since other products (including this one) from HSI have been touted as fake or misleading through their marketing on the actual website where they promote the stuff. I will say however that those ingredients do look like an excellent combination for managing blood sugar. Have you had a chance to try it out with any success? ## I have used many of these ingredient...

My beautician said lisinopril definitely causes hair loss. She recommended taking Biotin 5000 mg to help. ## Hello, Lynn! How are you? Yes, that is a listed side effect of Lisinopril, as reported by the FDA, although it is rare. Someone taking it may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Elderly person needs vitamin with following ingredients: Vit. D 400mg, Folic acid 400 mcg., Biotin 300 mcg., Vit. B-12 1,000 mcg., Vit. B-6 100 mg., Selenium 100 mcg., Calcium + D 1,200 mg., Iron 250 mcg., and Vit. C 3,000 mg. Is there any one tablet that comes close to providing these nutrients in these proportions? ## Since most vitamins are over the counter products, there isn't a database that lists all of them and their ingredients. What I'd like to suggest is asking a pharmacist. They usually have a good idea of what's available and can point you in the right direction. Did a doctor say it must be these specific dosages?
