can i take this medicine along with the tamoxifen and calcium tablets ## You're taking Tamoxifen for breast cancer? If so, you really need to consult your doctor, before you take anything else, even just a nutritional supplement. There may be things that you shouldn't be taking, especially some nutrients that may affect your estrogen levels.

I know that the Betadine ointment is available with Moisturizer OR with a pain reliever and these 2 products contain Aquaphor which contains Lanolin Alcohol and I'm highly allergic to Lanolin in any form. BUT does the maximum strength ointment also contain Aquaphor? If it does, I wouldn't be able to use it. Betadine ointment was taken off the market several years ago and now it's back - but the formula has been changed. I used it for years without any problems and now I don't know if I can use it again if it also contains Aquaphor. ## I suffer from a blood vessel disorder called Vasculitis. It affects the small blood vessels in both of my feet and legs. I've had this bout for 17 years now. Over a period of years the prescription anti-biotic ointment I'd been usin...

What's the best way to administer Ostospray to ensure maximum absorption? ## Otospray contains the active ingredient Calcitonin and is most commonly used to help protect against bone mineral loss. As to how much is absorbed into the body, I haven't found any information on that. However, with most medications, it is only a small fraction of what is actually in any given dosage. Does anyone else have any information to add?

i found a blue round pill with E 72 on one side and nothing on the other. Can anyone help identify this pill? ## Based on the description provided, I believe the blue pill you have is called Lovastatin (20 mg); manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Inc. Lovastatin is an inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase (HMG-CoA reductase), an enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of HMG-CoA to mevalonate. Mevalonate is a required building block for cholesterol biosynthesis and lovastatin interferes with its production by acting as a reversible competitive inhibitor for HMG-CoA which binds to the HMG-CoA reductase. In other words, Lovastatin is used to reduce LDL cholesterol in patients (noted to be as much as 40% reduction with the max dosage of 80 mg). To view more informati...

I am 72 years old and has been prescribed oxetol-150 by a neurologist recently. I would like to know the side-effects of taking oxetol-150. Below is my case history - I'm feeling shivering around the area of heart for the last 6-8 weeks which spreads to the upper part of body and limbs and continues for 90 minutes to 150 minutes. This phenomenon leads to thumping in chest, rapid exhalation and giddiness. If this symptom starts when I am asleep, I get awakened feeling very uneasy and I get up and sit on bed till it subsides. I am a known COPD patient and suffer from wheezing for which I use Biocler 250 tab, Mucinac 600 tab, Duolin, Maxiflow forte in Rota haler as advised by doctor. On doctor's advice, I have done ECG, ECHO, taken chest x-ray, TMT and 24 hours Holter monitoring but n

My 9 year ols nephew is on 40 mg a day this seems too much! He seems distant and depressed all the time, should I be concerned? ## Hi Kerry, From what I could gather, the usual pediatric dose can range from 5mg up to a maximum of 60mg once daily. The extended release capsules are not recommended for anyone age 6 or under, so I can only speculate that his body (from a biological standpoint) may not even be ready to handle this medication. Safety guidelines for this medication note that if any bothersome adverse reactions appear (e.g., insomnia, anorexia, or depression in this case), the dosage should be reduced. I think it's perfectly ok and natural to be concerned for someone who looks depressed and distant. This would probably be attributed to side effects and/or too high of a dose...

I have had some cravings lately so I took a couple buprenophine 54 375 pills. I SWALLOWED them and then realized they were the 8mg/2mg and also that i swallowed them instead of under my tongue. I have been f***ed up for 3 days. Bad headaches and no appetite. I swallowed them because i forgot how to take them and either way, it was way too much and I would say be careful. I will not do that again. These things are dangerous. ## When taken under the tongue, the bupe kicks the naloxones ass and it has no effect. When swallowed, the bupe has poor bioavaillabilty 5-10% max. Naloxone is absorbed by the stomach rather well, so it looks like in your case the naloxone beat the bupe. It doesn't happen very often. I feel for you. It sucks. I hate naloxone. Which is why I'm on Subutex. I ne...
