Best Oxycodone Brand

What is everyone's thoughts on the best brand of oxycodone 15mg? They don't all work the same... Some make me drowsy and some give me energy. What is your preference? ## I believe the Qualitest brand to be one of the better ones, but I've also noticed a problem here lately with them being always consistent in their strength; the KVK are good too; the Mylan brand A214's plain SUCK! They were good at one point but no more & lots of smaller pharms must get them at the cheapest prices, then sell them for 2-3$ a piece! I went to my Pain doc and he changed some of my meds..increasing mg dosage from 15 to 20mg oxycodones..along with oxycontin 10 to 20 mg. Is there a list of name brands of Oxycodone 30mg that are rated by consumers from the best to worst? Meaning the meds that worked the best for most patients. ## The only name brand roxicodone has 54 199 imprinted on them and you can tell a huge difference. ## If such a list did exist, my guess is that it wouldn't be accurate enough to be useful, as we all react/respond differently to not only the active ingredient (based on tolerance, side effects, etc), but also the inactive ingredients that affect bioavailability and cause side effects as well. I've used Rhodes, Amneal & now just starting Actavis. (Oxycodone 10/325) The Rhodes seemed to work well. The Amneal seemed to barely work at all. The verdict is still out on the Actavis. I'd welcome any suggestions on generics of this drug. ## @Steve, Actavis took over Watson brand and ruined the product in comparison as stated by so many long term Watson customers. As a previous Watson lover I can say that Actavis is hit and miss at times. The 5/325 oxy are huge round hard pills that do not work at all. The softer 7.5/325 oxy are effective but not as good as the old Watson by any means. I have just started to use the 10/325 oxy and I honestly think the 7.5s worked better. is there a less expensive medicine than oxycontin 80 Mg TID ## There is no generic for Oxycontin, which is the time released formulation of Oxycodone from Purdue. However, there are generics available of the regular release formulation, the name brand for this is Roxicodone, but it will not last as long as the time released formulation. A time released medication that you may want to discuss with your doctor as an alternative, which is also available as a generic, is MS Contin, which contains the active ingredient Morphine. Oxycodone, however, is stronger than Morphine, so you would require a higher dosage of the MS Contin. Are there any other questions?

They do not work and I get extra headaches from this pill/brand. I DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS with Mallinckrodt but these suck. ## @jojo, Sorry to hear about your troubling experience with KVK Tech. According to a number of threads I’ve seen here on this site, KVK Tech is being widely regarded as one those Oxycodone manufacturers that people should steer clear of, since their tablets aren’t providing anywhere near the amount of relief as other brands/generics. i take a combination of 80 mg oxycodone daily broken down to (2) 20 mg oxycontin and (4) 10 mg oxycodone Because oxycodone is covered by my insurance and oxycontin is not entirely, I want to medicate with all oxycodone. I take oxycodone 15mg for my back and recently got a refill. I had never seen these before. They are imprinted with E7 & the E is funny looking. I took one & it did absolutely nothing to relieve the pain. Are these pills real? Now I'm scared cause I don't want to have pain but safety is my main concern. I'm a quad and take oxy 5mg and aspirin. For years I was on percodan and they stopped making it, so now I take generic. Now I hear they are going to stop making oxy + aspirin together. Hello everyone, I'm trying to find out what manufacturer makes the best (as in best pain relief) 8 mg hydrocodone. I've been taking 8 mg Mallinckrodt hydrocodone since December 2017. I take the medication for breakthrough neuropathic pain (I also have intrathecal pump w/ hydromorphone). Prior to Dec. 2017, I was taking Actavis brand 30 mg oxycodone but getting only minimal pain relief which is why my doctor switched to the hydrocodone. I had tried a few different brands of oxycodone but in the end, stuck with Actavis as it was MUCH better than the others. My pharm just switched to the Rhodes 10/325 and I might as well be taking aspirin, except it makes me itch so bad and causes headaches and the sweats. I love the quailtest or the endo. I am calling my pharm in the morning to complain and see if they will be getting something else in. If not I'll be calling local pharms to find something else. I hate these. ## I agree 100 percent. I just picked up my prescription from a mom n pop pharmacy. Seems like every other month they have a different manufacturer. Trust me I know - they buy the cheapest brand lot available at the time. But these new ones I just got are horrible. They're produced by Lupin Pharmaceuticals. They are blue in color and HARD as a rock!!! When I visit the website they keep comparing themselves to Mallinckrodt. I used to get Mallinckrodt before I switched to the new pharmacy and they were by far the best.
