Best Generic Percocet

What manufacturer currently makes the best generic Percocet 10's? My pharmacy carries Mallinckrodt and I had a huge issue with their Norco years ago so I would like to ask if they'll order a different one for me but I don't know which would be good. Need excellent pain relief plus not that super tired feeling. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. ## The only issue I see with making comparisons is, this is all a matter of personal opinion based on each individual's unique body chemistry (i.e. something that isn't easily measured from a medical standpoint) and doesn't necessarily convey or predict how someone else going to respond to another manufacturer [no matter if it's the same drug or not]. Some people may also be more sensitive to different inactive ing...

Which generic manufacturer has the most active ingredient? I think endo does but its hard to find in jeff in. What would be the next best to the endo? ## What it really comes down to is which one works best for you. Everyone can say which one they've found to work best, but that doesn't mean you'll have the same experience with it. You can learn more Percocet details here. One thing you could try is asking your doctor to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary', so your insurance would pay for it and then you'd eliminate the problem. Does anyone else have any ideas or advice?

10/325 generic percocet which is the best manufacturer for chronic pain ## Hi Em, Unfortunately because every brand/generic effects each person differently, the only honest way to go about finding out what works best, is to try out different manufacturers for yourself. That way you can also formulate your own valid opinion. What I can tell you though from reading a lot of posts on this site, is that Actavis (Formerly known as Watson) has been receiving a massive amount of complaints lately regarding the quality and efficacy of their generic Percocet tablets. So that's probably one company you'd want to steer clear from based on their recent track record. I hope this helps! ## I am a 53 year old grandmother, full-time student earning my bachelors in psychology counseling, then on...

Knowing that generic pharmaceutical manufacturers can vary principle ingredient(s) by as much as -20% (i.e. minus 20%), I am attempting to find a generic producer of Percocet that has proven to be beneficial for others in situations like or similar to mine. As a result of a hard fall, I sustained an injury called spondylolethesis (i.e. shifting vertebrae) from L4, L5, & S1. Corrective surgery was required involving a ventral incision below navel and two dorsal incisions on either side of lumbar spine in order to install the appropriate orthopedic spine hardware (e.g. screws, rods, posts, etc.). Six days after hospital release (12 days post-op) had to return to hospital ER due to incision inflammation and increased pain. Morphine was substituted for Percocet. Knowing their are a good...

I have been on Percocet 10/325 for over 11 years. Recently changed insurance company. They will not pay for Brand. I get horrible nausea and cramping and questionable results from generic . What are fillers in best generic replacements. It is the fillers my Drs. say I am allergic to. Not the fillers in Percocet brand ## It sounds like you may need to use a compound pharmacy then. I believe Walgreen's has some. ## Thanks for response. If Insurance wïll not pay for brand then I doubt they will pay for a special compound pharmacy . My pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy. the cost for me to pay for this on my own is totally cost prohibitive. ## Greg, If your Doctor writes medically necessary on your prescription, your insurance has to cover brand name by law. Please ask your Doctor ...

If anyone could help me with just these two...Rhodes or Endo - as those are the only choices I have for right now, I'd greatly appreciate it. I take 7.5mg Percocet and the pharmacy I usually go to does not have what I've been taking, so now I only have the choice of Rhodes or Endo, and that is it. Thanks for any help in this matter. Take care. ## I wanted to add that I tried the Rhodes 7.5 and they did not seem to work as well as what I've been taking. So, that leaves only the, Endos. I cannot remember if they're suppose to work all that well or not so I need your help. Rhodes and Endos are the Only two choices I have, as they're the only one's the pharmacy's near me have. I'd appreciate any input you have on these two Mfg.s very much. I see my pain docto...

Yes there is a big difference in the manufacturers of these pills. The white, round, WATSON 925s seem to work best as far as pain relief and "highness". The ovals are ok but not as good as watson...The peach or yellow pills are also less effective than the watsons. ## I just came across an article from this website,"Generics and Biosimilars" titled, "Actavis makes agreement for generic abuse-deterrent oxycodone", Posted 03/05/2013, that explains exactly why everyone is getting sick and feeling no pain relief. Please please please... complain to the FDA, to the company Actavis, which u can get on the internet and call Walgreens @800-walgreens...but tell walgreens not to send the info to ur local pharmacy.. cause they will...tell them u want ur complaint to go to t...

which generic Maunfacturer do you think has the most active ingredient of the oxycodone as this is the generic for percocet. i currently get 10/650 and know endo is the best, however im gonna to be dropping to 10/325 to lessen the tylenol and have heard that there are definatley some that have less active ingredient than others. ## Yes, there can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one generic medication to another, but there's really no way for anyone else to say that one is better than any other. The reason I say that is because the one that's worked well for someone else may not work as well for you and vice versa. It really all comes down to the person. Thus, the only thing you can really do is try it and see which one works best for you. Are there a...

I just got my script filled in SC. Wal Mart. They have their own distribution system. Check there. I have a large amount of pills and pain. They told me they had the entire script. 360 pills. Good luck y'all from South Carolina. ## Thanks for the heads up Jimmy, I'm not sure if anyone else has been having problems getting their script filled lately (at least here in California), but according to the FDA there aren't any current drug shortages involving Percocet. This can be verified on the following page: fda.gov/drugs/drugsafety/drugshortages/ucm050792.htm Just out of curiosity, where did you first hear about there being a shortage? ## Anyone here know what pharmacy in Columbia, SC has the best generic Percocet 7.5/325? I was taking Alvogen, c229 then RP's... Now they a...

I am taking oxycodo-APAP 10-325 ,a generic for Percocet. It is an oval shape withM523 on one side and 10/325 on the other. My Dr. said I could split the pill if it is too strong. But there is no score line. Can or should this pill be spit to receive half the dosage? ## The best advice I can give is to listen to what your doctor said. From personal experience when there was no score line on a pill I would still cut in half if it was too strong and simply take half the dose. I don't think you should worry if your doctor gave you the ok to do so. After splitting the pill in half, just be sure to follow your doctors orders on when to take the pill every so many hours.

Just received alvogen Percocet for the first time yesterday and was very skeptical being that I have gotten the actavis before and had such a bad reaction with no relief at all. After reading reviews I just knew that it wasn't going to work. This medication has exceeded all doubt. Took care of my pain very quickly with minimal stomach upset. I have had quite a few generic brands before from mallinkrodt, Roxane, endocet, qualities, and actavis. Mallinkrodt and Roxane being the best in my opinion. I am thankful. I sure did not wanna have to go through fighting the doc or insurance company trying to get them to understand as I just had surgery and dealing with enough. I really do believe it has to do with your chemical makeup and how your body responds to the med. Except for actavis......

I have taken Percocet many times before and just got this new generic yesterday feel strange and nauseated since took first one yesterday ! Can I contact activas the maker or walgreens to have switched or will I have to take this for whole month ? ## Hello, Gail! How are you? Unfortunately, neither the pharmacy nor the manufacturer is likely to do anything. The best thing to do would be to talk to your doctor about possibly trying a different medication and then report this issue to FDA by calling them at 888-463-6332. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks but talked to manufacture of these and your right no ...

Actavis percocet is doing nothing for my pain im bout to die from horrible pain help ## Hello, Misty! How are you? Many people have complained about these tablets. The best suggestion I can make is to speak to your doctor, they may be able to prescribe an alternative medication that you can use for awhile. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How long have you been taking it? ## The Actavis percocet is the worst generic out there now. You should read other blogs about this terrible generic it is totally no good and needs to be re-called. You are not alone as there are many of us in pain now from not being able to get our usual percocet by Watson. You must c...

What color are Percocet 10/325mg? Is there a 10/325mg Percocet that's white, round & has 230 on one side & a C on the other? ## A "yellow" round pill with a large C on one side and 230 on the other reportedly contains Acetaminophen (325mg) + Oxycodone hydrochloride (10mg); the generic for Percocet. For verification, the manufacturer is Alvogen Inc. and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 47781-0230. I have yet to see a legitimate white version of this pill, however I do know that colors and shapes are subject to change at the whit and whim of the manufacturer. So perhaps it would be best to contact Alvogen directly to verify its identity at the following email or phone number for drug related inquiries: [email protected] / 866-770-3024 I hope...

Does this pill work differently than the white 512 pill? ## Hello, Leo! How are you? No, they both contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation, they are just manufactured by different companies, but both are generics for Percocet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Percocet details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Leo, quest is one of the lowest generic brands with more fillers than most and you should ask your pharmacy what brand they carry. Endos and Roche are the best.

I am trying to find a Percocet or generic percocet without pork products in it. So far I have had no success or they say "right now" we are using beef but that may change according to availablitlity. ## Hi Deb, Because the binders and fillers are going to vary for each and every manufacturer/brand/and generic, it sounds like your best bet would be to do a cross reference check before fully committing to any particular tablet they suggest you try. From my own research I'm finding that Endo's Percocet tablets contain the following list of inactive ingredients: silicon dioxide + croscarmellose sodium + crospovidone + microcrystalline cellulose + povidone + corn starch + stearic acid + D&C Yellow Certain forms of stearic acid could also be derived from animal sources (no...

I also took the Watson. Last prescription I received amneal which were awful. Aleve worked better! I threw them away! I did take the Mylan before and they was not too bad. Don't know if any generic now can get close to the Watson. Now I found two different pharmacies that carry mylan and endocet. Seems from reading, Endo does not make the generic endocet only the brand percocet, its qualitest which is now part of Endo since 2010 per Endo website. Confusing to me. Can anyone explain this to me? Since the company Endo really does not make endocet, are they still the best generic or should I stick with the Mylan? ## Hi Lulu, How's it going? Alvogen 10/325 any one else feel it is not controlling their pain as well as other brands. Thanks for your input. ## Hi Annie, I have not tried the Alvogen brand specifically, but according to other related threads on here, Endo Pharmaceuticals is touted as having one of the best working Percocet tablets by comparison. My theory is that one or more of the binders/fillers that Alvogen tabs are composed of aren't able to sufficiently metabolize in our body, thus leaving part of the active ingredient(s) lying dormant within. I don't know if this makes much sense to anyone else who may be reading, but it seems like a feasible possibility since each manufacturer uses a different set of inactive ingredients. ## Thank you very much for answering my question, in your opion it will work ...

I've been on percocet generic 10 years and last 3 qualitest 10/325. It's the absolute best I've had. I will not accept others. I tried to take my rx back to walmart today but no qualitest so I went back to cvs. It's truly the best. I have taken hydro before and found Boca pharmaceutical out of Florida to be best. It was sold by walmart at the time. Both incredible good genetics as I researched both before I asked for them. First time they ordered them. Some will some will NOT say take what we have or go some place else. I always am made to feel like a dope addict when I get these filled. I want to say I'm paying your damn 125k paycheck. ## I'm sorry about the experiences you've had at some pharmacies. There are some that do seem to be suspicious of anyone tha...

Hello I had back surgery a fusion in my 4-5 lumbar with 4 screws I have been trying some generics for percocet that have not done well like watson and maylan today I called a few pharmacies and found Aurobindo and Qualitest does anybody now which one works best ? ## Hello, Nini! How are you? It really varies from person to person, but I had good luck with the ones from Qualitest, when I had a kidney stone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
