I have been diagnosed with severe depression in the past. Stopped taking antidepressants a year ago (decided to fight the depression myself!). Have been taking chantix for 2 weeks now, have stopped smoking 4 days ago. I can't say i don't get any cravings at all, but they are getting weaker each day. I don't feel depressed, quite the opposite - my mood is good and stable. I've had some side effects for the first week, but as soon as I've stopped smoking they've disappeared. Good luck to everyone.

Has anyone had any success with Roboxitine ## Hello, Ann! How are you? The FDA classifies this as an NRI class antidepressant and have never approved it for use here in the U.S. due to the fact that it's efficacy has been challenged in multiple studies and reports. Thus, I find it doubtful that many people have gotten much help from it for anything. Many have found it to be no more effective than a placebo. Has anyone tried this medication? Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, excessive sweating and constipation. ## I've just had a terrible time after being prescribed Reboxetine by my physchatrist. I was taking mirtazapine but suffering from severe low moods and insomnia. I've been lucky enough to have not suffered from side...

I'm looking into possible medications to treat my depression, complex trauma disorder, unipolar behavioral disorder?, and PTSD without the typical sedative effects. My neurodivergence and the effects it has on my body leave me lying in bed most of the time. In the past, doctors have only prescribled various sedatives and antidepressants with similar effects. I want to get out of bed. Any suggestions? ## What type of doctors have you consulted? As the NIH reports, some people with this types of conditions need a combination of medications to get them under control. Some even require stimulants, such as Adderall, in order to improve their mood and help them function. Though it is warned that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzine...

I'm getting terrified after reading some Chantix horror stories and people who report never being the same after taking it. I just took my first dose of Chantix. Leading up to the decision to try it, I've been severely depressed for the past 3-4 months and recently began thinking that if I can just quit smoking I'll be healthier, able to exercise, date (not too many smoker lovers out there) and generally feel better. I now wonder if I'm better off smoking. I'm 32 (female if it matters) & already think that my seratonin levels/receptors are screwed up thanks to years of anti depressants (sertraline, generic for Zoloft). Tried going off that one several months ago and felt great at first then eventually crashed into deep depression. Started taking them (Zoloft) aga...

After being on every imaginable antidepressant over the past twenty-five years and undergoing ect, I have found that Ritalin has worked the best for me. I have been taking it for about two years now and wonder why I had to suffer for so many years prior. But that is history and I don't dwell on it. I look forward to tomorrow now. ## Really helps with my depression as well as my ADD. I believe the ADD contributed to the depression because it causes me to be less productive which causes stress. ## Greetings KM. . Hello everybody. I am from Belgium, I am 47, and it has been 6 months now that I take 24mg Suboxone per day. The doctor prescript it - exceptionally, he said - in my case for severe depression (I have a history of drugs addiction, but that was a very long time ago). Suboxone is really saving my life. I feel fine with it, I can function normally. It is really a new life to me. My new psychiatrist want me to go down to 16mg a day, but I don't. Is there any reason I should go down ? If anyone had a similar experience, I would be very interested in knowing about it. Thank you all in advance. My doctor has started me on Brintellix 10mg as I have tried a number of well known antidepressants over the years & found none give me complete remission. I suffer with MDD & Anxiety, which I believe stems from PTSD. I found that when we found one that worked, by 6 months I had built a resistance to it & it was no longer effective. They also made me gain weight which only added to feelings of self loath. I am on day 5 with Brintellix. I had ceased all antidepressants at least 4 weeks before commencing this treatment. Day 1: I was extremely sick with anxiety prior to my taking the Brintellix. I did feel nausea about 40-50mins after but I felt it take the edge of the anxiety. Day 2: nausea persisting but bearable. Yucky taste in my mouth, did start salivating soon after taking...

On my last day of treatment: I am PALE and depressed.... Is this normal? Feeling tired and just a sense of feeling real bad with no explanation. ## Yes, this antibiotic may cause those types of symptoms, it could also be due to your having had an infection. As listed by the FDA, other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and diarrhea. If things get worse, or don't improve in a week, or so, you should see your doctor, again. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, Does anyone else out there get relief from chronic depression by taking the Suboxone? I take it illegally whenever I run out of Percs, and it always makes me feel better, like I can do more things and I have more energy. Next week, I go to a Suboxone doctor to get on this legally, but should I tell him that I take them illegally and that they help with my depression? I am not sure if I should tell him this. I would love to hear from someone. Thanks ## I take suboxone from a doctor and after you taking percs, yes, he may start you on the suboxone program($$$) if he sees fit- or if you are truly addicted to opiates, but when you tell him you take percs for depression he will definitely add an anti-depressant to your med. list then taper you off the sub. program. On and off antidepressants for 20 some odd years. Some work better than others. The last one I was prescribed was Cymbalta a new one for depression and it just didn't seem show any improvement on my fatigue or my get up. Today I started on Oxazepam, does anyone know anything about that? New and needing help ## Oxazepam is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and for its sedative like effects.
