round white pill with an 627 on one side and nothing on the other ## This is Tramadol 50mgs, a generic for Ultram. This is classified as a narcotic, however it was derived from a sythetic one in a failed attempt to reduce addiction and side effects. Thus they have a medication that acts like a basic anti-inflammatory, but carries the same side effects and addictive potential as an opiate. My tramadol is blank on one side and "AN627" on the other. Does it contain aspirin? ## No, this tablet contains just 50mgs of Tramadol, an analgesic, the active ingredient in Ultram. Tramadol is also not available coupled with Aspirin, it is only available coupled with Acetaminophen, as a generic or under the brand name Ultracet. It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any questions or comments?

I hava a presciption of tramadol thats looks diffrent than my others it has 319 inprint and my others have an an627 why are they different? ## Because they were manufactured by a different company. Tramadol is a generic medication, so there are several companies that manufacture it and, under federal law, each company has to use a unique imprint for their product that will enable its active ingredient, dosage and the manufacturer to be identified, in case of emergency. The pill you received, however, is a 50mg Tramadol tabl...

There is no difference, the hcl on the end of the one was just left off of the other, it designates the chemical salt that the medication is derived from. Is there anything else I can help with? ## WRONG ANSWER...THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. I'VE WAS PRESCRIBED TRAMADOL HCL 50 MG [TV58] FOR BACK PAIN IN FEBRUARY. MY DAUGHTER'S ENGLISH MASTIFF DOG, ELSA, WAS JUST RECENTLY PRESCRIBED TRAMADOL 50 MG [AN627] FOR HER PAIN. BOTH Rx CONTAIN 50 MG OF TRAMADOL, BUT ARE DERIVED FROM DIFFERENT FORMULATIONS, THE TRAMADOL 50 MG IS INSTANT RELEASE AND THE HCL IS EXTENDED RELEASE, SLOWER TO ACT, BUT WHICH GIVES LONGER LASTING RELIEF. I SEEM TO RECALL IT'S A MATTER OF A FORMULATION OF HYDROGEN CHL...

What is difference between the two pills?which one is stronger ## Hello, Punkin! How are you? The tablet with the AN 617 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 37.5mgs of Tramadol and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. However, the tablet with the 377 marking is manufactured by Caraco Pharmaceuticals and they list is only containing 50mgs of Tramadol, so it is the stronger one. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
