I was wondering if it was ok to take those 3 meds at the same time? Lisinopril 10mg, Amlodipine 10mg, and Atorvastatin 20mg? ## They can be taken together, as long as your doctor approves. However, the FDA warns that you may experience more severe side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache, joint/muscle aches, and lower blood pressure. How are you doing taking this combination? I am 55 and for last 1 year I have been taking Telma 40 and Amlodact 5 in the morning Atorva 5 at night. Now I am to face acute knee problem that benumbed me and prevents smooth walking, A friend of mine advises me to take Cal Mag D and stop Amlodac 5. Can I stop it and opt for some other medication? amlodipine issued dec 8,2009 is it expired already? atorvastatin issued sept 16, 2010 is it expired already ## If you received them from a pharmacy, in the type of bottles that the pharmacy's use, then the expiration date is generally one year from the date it was dispensed. Thus, if they filled the Amlodipine on 12/08/09, the expiration would have been 12/07/10. Atorvastatin filled 09/16/10 would have en expiration of 09/15/11. They do not get dangerous after that date, but they do start to lose effectiveness and may not work as well at treating the relevant medical conditions. What does EQ base stands for? Example is CADUET AMLODIPINE BESYLATE; ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM EQ 5MG BASE; EQ 10MG BASE. What does EQ and base mean? ## It means that the given dosage works in the body equivalent to that dosage. You might see a medication listed as being 4.5mgs base, equivalent to 5mgs. Hi, I took 20 mg Omeprazole, 10 mg Atorvastatin, 25 mg Hydrochlorot, and 5 mg Amlodopine at about 4:00. Then at about 6:30 I forgot I took them and I took all 4 of them again! I also took my regular evening medicines as directed about 8:30. Those are 100 mg Sertraline and 5 mg Lisinipril. Should I do anything...is this harmful this once? ## Hello, Ami! How are you? What is the difference in the action of Atorvastatin against simvastatin? ## I am taking a new blood pressure pill called "Amlodipine Besylate". On the dosage instructions, it says extra care may be needed in taking this with simvastatin....Is the same caution for Atorvastatin ?JCZCP ## The reaction is unique to just the Simvastatin if taken with the Amlodipine, it can increase the levels of it that are absorbed in your body, which could result in more severe side effects, or a potential overdose. I'm taking losartan 100mg and atorvastatin 80 mg. I also take 45 units of Humalog, 80 units of Levemir, 500 mg metformin, carvedilol once a day, bumetanide and amlodipine 10 mg. I took all this for a long time. I started breaking out with about 200 hives all over my legs and side of my body. Can you please tell me what it could be? I had to quit taking all my medication except my sugar shot and I started adding one pill at a time. As soon as I got to that amlodipine and I took 70 units of my leveremir the next morning I broke out all over, so I quit and just took two 45 unit doses and I was okay. Can someone help me please? I had my angiogram done and my Dr said it was normal with minor luminal irregularities. EF 50-55%. I'm on aspirin 100mg, amlodipine 2.5mg, atorvastatin 10mg, metformin 250mg TDS. Plus I'm allergic to NSAID's. After the angiogram I also developed hematoma on my right hand, showing acute obstruction (length 5cm) with retograde flow. I had a mild heart atack and I was prescribed a cocktail of drugs, which made me feel like a zombie, I was extremely tired, feeling sick, couldn't barely walk: ticagrelor 90 mg., simvastatin 40 mg., amlodipine, ramipril 2.5 mg., eleprenone(Inspra) 25 mg. I discarded the amplodipine- why the dictors prescribed it together with the ramipril, if both do the same job and both have bad side effects?
