Adderall On Backorder

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled? ## I live in Southern NH. I can't find a pharmacy anywhere around here that can get Adderall in any dose from Teva and Barr Pharmaceuticals. My psychiatrist was apparently completely unaware of this situation when he wrote the prescription earlier today, 10/18/2011. I run out in 4 days but am on a very low dose (5mg twice a day) so I may be able to wean off of it safely by cutting back to 5mg once a day, then nothing. I wonder how many people taking higher doses are going to have major problems with withdrawal...

I have been unable to get Clozapine (generic for Clozaril) since Feb. 2019 at my regular pharmacy alledgely due to "backorder". I don't believe "backorder" is the real reason. I live in NJ and I recently read that many of the generic drug houses are being investigated due to collusion. They are trying to drive up the prices of these meds and the way to do it is through collusion. I note that Adderall and other psychiatric meds are also on backorder. Seems that most of the generic Ritalin manufacturers are back ordered. All the pharmacies I have called are out. Is there another medication I can request from my doctor. I take 20mg 3X daily ## Have you tried actually going to the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand to see if they have it in stock? Since Ritalin is a controlled substance, a phone call will usually not get you an accurate answer, because they have no way of knowing if the person on the other end of the line is a legitimate customer with a need, or a potential thief. Otherwise, the alternatives, such as Adderall, may also be difficult to find, as we've had similar complaints from people that need to fill their prescriptions for it, as well.

I've noticed that the last three years in a row around this time either at the Adderall generic Sandoz brand is on backorder or suddenly the pills don't have the same affect. So in essence the pharmacy and drug manufacturers I getting paid while patients suffer without the proper medication. Has anyone else had this happen this month? I am taking the Adderall generic 30 milligrams twice a day I feel like I haven't taken anything. ## What are the markings on the one they've provided you with? Have not been able to fill my 30mg generic Adderall anywhere in Palm Beach County since Oct. 20, 2014 when my prescription was written. Every pharmacy claims they're still on backorder as of today, 11/08/14. Preferably one that accepts Health Care District of Palm Beach County, such as Publix or Walmart. The 70mg Vyvanse I've been taking as a substitute is not nearly as effective so I haven't been able to accomplish much with it. Hello everyone, I have ADHD, I'm not on adderall 30mg.one and a half daily. Ya crazy dosage my doctor has me on..its all started a few months ago when in my area the adderall 20mg has been on backorder, all I know is all the pharmacy's within 20 miles around me says they have only been able to get the 10mg or 30mg. Since my scripts he wrote were for 20mg x2 day..I went to his office with the 20mg script and exchange it for 30mg. My next visit is soon..I'm thinking about asking for vyvanse 70mg dose I have only been one it once..I'm new to ADHD meds by about 2 years so any advice would be great thx
