I have a bulging disc and go to Kelsey Seybold as part of my insurance plan. I took ultram or ultracet for 18 years whenever I needed pain medicine cause I couldn't function on Vicodin or the other hydrocodones. I never had a problem with it, I took it as needed and that was that. Now that they made it a narcotic because some people did get addicted to it???? My husband has been taking fentanal patches for 2 years. He chews it after cutting it in strips. He usually does 50 mg to 75 mg a day. He took his last piece yesterday. I understand that 8 percocet a day is the maximum dosage. My problem is that it actually takes that much to keep my pain under control and allow me to live a functional life, yet any time I even hint to my Dr that 3 a day just isn't working well enough I get drug panels, accused of being an addict and so forth (my drug panels always come up clear as I don't abuse any drugs). Rescheduling hydrocodone/APAP combos to CII seems to have mixed results. I believe that it was the ignorance of the use of liver damage with exceeding 4,000.mg of acetaminophen and not necessarily the abuse opioid factors. I am very pleased to say that I take all three of these great medications. The suboxone is the most important because it keeps me from craving other drugs which I used to abuse. I take 12mg a day. The Adderall XR 30mg is helpful with ADHD and staying alert. It keeps me going all day. And finally, last but definitely not least is the klonopin 1.5mg a day. Nothing else has touched my anxiety or made me feel so comfortable around people. Each med is important, and I would highly recommend this mix for anyone with anxiety, ADHD, and substance abuse disorder.
