I am taking Twynsta 80/10 and my BP has been 120/80 for some time, but recently, I found that it increased to 140 over 100. But is Twynsta responsible for this? ## Hello, Dappyson! How are you? It is doubtful that the medication has caused the elevation. As listed by the U.S. FDA it is more prone to cause drops in blood pressure, as well as nausea, dizziness and increased urination. What were the circumstances under which you checked your blood pressure? It can vary throughout the day, due to activity levels, foods you've eaten, other medications you take and etc. How often has it been elevated at those numbers?

Thought I must have bumped my knee, as it was a little stiff and sore 2 days ago, but I didn't bump it on anything I recall. Yesterday, it increased to the point of not being able to bend it without extreme pain, and swelling has come on. Took 2 panadol, and the pain receded, if I didn't move it. Today it is worse, and I can't do almost anything. It's a painful struggle to get to the toilet, and sitting is out of the question. I am stuck on my bed for the greater part. If I move it at all, it takes around an hour for the pain to back off. There is a round pink blotch the size of a 50-cent piece slightly above the knee-cap, but I can gently move the kneecap with hand without a problem or pain. Severe pain when bending the knee, and then for hours after, or the pain gets wors

I was taking Twynsta.. which was a combination of 10 mg amlodipine and 80 mg telmisartan for about 5 yrs. I didn't realize that amlodipine had so many side effects which I have been experiencing. Back, side, stomach pain, ankles swelling, muscle weakness and the list goes on.. My Dr took me off the amlodipine a couple days ago. I'm experiencing increased pain in body, legs, ankles. After reading different comments and sites, they warn against stopping suddenly. I'm worried. Dr did not advise or mention withdrawal. Should I be concerned? ## Are you still taking some other medication? If so, your doctor likely wasn't worried about withdrawal, since the biggest immediate effect would usually be rebound elevated blood pressure, and heart rate, but being on another medication wo...

I used to have medical aid and was prescribed Co-Diovan 80 plus Twynsta 40mg. But then I got retrenched and had to receive other medication since the State does not keep these kind of medication. The State gives medication free of charge. I was prescribed a list of medication back since none were effective - my BP remained high. Most recently I got Atenolol 50mg plus Perindopril 4 plus Adco-Retic 2.5mg for water retention. My blood pressure remained non-consistent so I decided to rather go back to the Co-Diovan/Twynsta combination again. I must say that these medications are really expensive but since it is my health, I purchased them out of my own pocket. I have been using the Co-Diovan combination for the past 3 days but have noticed that my blood pressure ranges between 167/93 to 149...

I started taking Coveram last December 2017 and after 1 week i developed cough which I find very disturbing. The effect of it was exemplary and just maintained my BP but the cough is really my concern. Just this March, my follow up check up, I talked to my Doctor and raised my concern regarding the cough. He changed my anti hypertensive medications to Twynsta. Until now my cough does not go away. What can be the possible reason for this? I am taking Vitamin C daily and maintained my hydration. Please help. ## Coeram contains Perindopril and Amlodipine, and Twynsta contains Telmisartan and Amlodipine, and according to NIH reports, the Amlodipine is notorious for causing a dry cough as a side effect. The problem is that once that cough starts, it usually doesn't go away, so my best gu...

Am taking Indopril 8 once per day for Hypertension. Would it be ok to have Viagra ## What have your blood pressure levels been at, while on the Indopril?
