From 2008-2016 I was on ortho-tricyclen. I stopped taking my birth control September of 2016 because I was no longer sexually active and I wouldn't be for quite some time. I began taking mono linyah june of 2017. I'm still within the 3 month period of my body getting used to the pill, but if I forget to eat with it I wake up as I am extremely nauseous. Most times I end up vomiting 3-4 times within the morning to early afternoon. I also experience brown discharge frequently. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? ## The brown discharge is normal, that's usually just old blood that wasn't released during your last period. The nausea can also be a typical side effect, according to FDA reports, you may also experience dizziness, headache, and irritability. How are you doing,...

I've been taking Mono-linyah for about 2 months. I've been having extremely heavy periods and they stop for maybe 3 days and they are right back throughout the blue and white pills. Its to the point that I'm about to try something else. Normally my period lasts about 3 to 4 days and its gone. I've tried the Depo shot but had a bad problem with weight loss due to it. Is there any b/c pill that more or less stops your period? I know its natural but I'm a very active person working 6 days a week with how painful its been some days its hard to even be standing straight up ## Hello, Tamara! How are you? I left my Tri-Linyah birth control packet in my car yesterday for 9 hours. It was 75- 80 degrees all day long. They were in my purse under my seat. I took the pill last night after them being left in my car. Will they still work properly? Should I get a fresh pack because I am only on the Sunday of my second week? If so should I take two today since last nights pill may have not of worked? ## Hi Addy - according to the drug label published by the NIH, (under 16.2 Storage Conditions) it says "Store at 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F), [See USP Controlled Room Temperature]." Unfortunately it sounds like your car was above the recommended temperature range. With that said, you might want to see if you can get a refill or new prescription from your doctor. You can even ...

Hi, i have recently been prescribed norgestimate eth-estradiol and i have never taken BCP, so i am confused about when to start because its already been 10 days after my last period. ## You can start them at any time, however, if they aren't started on the first day of your menstrual cycle, then you will need to use additional protection for the first 7 days, before they will become effective at preventing pregnancy. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm taking Tri-Linyah (ethinyl estradiol + norgestimate). Do I continue to take the inactive pills after my period has started?
