Can anyone tell me if they know if there is any difference in effect between the new formula (round) and the new new formula round and concave? I have the new formula and it is really making me feel disoriented, totally different from the old formula; however, does not work as well for pain. ## The active ingredient itself has not been changed, it is still Oxymorphone, but the tablets were reformulated to help prevent their abuse and, unfortunately, this has caused problems for many people. If you browse this site you'll see there are many complaints that this change has caused people to suffer odd side effects and/or for it to not work as well as it used to. The same thing happened when Oxycontin was reformulated awhile ago. Learn more about Opana Details The best suggestion I can ...

ok, this is the real deal regarding the generic 10mg oxycodone a333 made by Actavis - actually Actavis acquired Watson - Watson brand product was discontinued Jan. 2014 - it is hard to find another generic - my opinion is that Actavis undercut prices of other generics, so all the pharmacies are buying it - i totally agree that there is a huge difference in pain relief - Actavis is now a huge global pharmaceutical presence, second or third to, well, I can't remember the other companies, you could look it up - they are using Purdue Pharma's anti-abuse formula or whatever you want to call it - they are moving their corporate headquarters to Ireland to take advantage of the lower tax rates - I spoke to them a long time (2 hours), and also wrote the FDA regarding their product - the ...

I keep searching and STILL don¨t have a straight answer. I am currently on 30mg, 3 times a day of OXYCODONE (legally prescribed) for horrific back pain..... ¿WHAT is the difference between the 2, if any, besides the NAME? oxycodone AND oxycontin........ PLEASE help me out! thanks! thanks!! ## Its the same drug - Oxycodone. One is time released (Oxycontin) and one is immediate release (oxycodone). If they changed your meds from Oxycodone 30mg 3xper day (total of 90mg a day) to Ocycontin it would be probably be 40mg 2x a day with breakthrough meds. ## Pita's comment is basically true. Though OxyContin is technically oxycodone hydrochloride - a slightly different formula, but yes -- essentially the same drug. The major difference is the time-released delivery of OxyContin as ...

I've been trying to fill a script for 180 oxycodone 30mg since Jan 5 with no luck. I spent the better part of the day today looking again. I was told by a pharmacist that the oxy 30s are being re-formulated and are on back-order. I found them at Baylife pharmacy on Gulf to Bay for a ridiculous price, $7 per pill. The SweetBay on 580 in Dunedin had them but would not fill my script as I am not an existing customer. I went back to my Dr. and had him write my script for 15s instead, the caveat was he cut it in half, but hey, half my script is better than none of it. Anyway, the Walgreens on Roosevelt and 58th filled 102 oxy 15s for $60.92 (with a perscription discount card I got off the internet) at 3:00 this afternoon. This is totally f***ed. Next Dr. visit, I am going to tell my Dr. ...

i would like a list of Pharmcacies that will fill oxycodone 30mg IR.in and around Los Angels Ca. ## I am sorry, but there is no central listing of pharmacies that have any particular medication in stock. It would be virtually impossible to keep such a list updated anyway, as it would be very dynamic information. Additionally, there is no 30mg immediate release Oxycodone, this dosage is only available in the regular release or time released formulation. The IR is only available in a 5mg capsule. Learn more Oxycodone details here. What reason has your pharmacy given for not being able to fill it? ## You are totally wrong on the not having an instant release Oxycodone 30 mg. I've been taking it for almost 14 years now. The instant release is called Oxycotin that comes in 40 & 80mg....

My pharmacy switched to Mallinkrodt generic percocet 10/325. After 3 months of taking them my wrists are stiff; my outer side of hands, pinky & ring fingers have gone totally numb! Also, little to NO pain relief, withdrawal symptoms ie; like the flu, exhaustion, episodic sweating, nausea...as if I’m taking a fake pill! I’ve been a legit CP PATIENT for 20 years; never a problem. Last 2 yrs every generic percocet has very odd side effects. My whole life & persona has drastically changed. Hard to function. What has obviously been added/subtracted, changed in the formulations? Is anyone else experiencing this or am I losing my mind? Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer me some advice &/or facts. ## Regarding the numbness, you should really have that checked out ...

small light pink pill 311and halfmoon like imprint on otherside ## Hello, Eli! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 60mgs of Morphine in an extended release formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes 60mg morphine and they are awesome ## I have a new generic morphine sulfate that is 60mgs. with no number. looks totally different than usual. want to make sure I am getting the right medication. ## I was taking 10mg methadone and now I take ms morphine it has 311 on one side and a half moon on the other they don't seem to work f...

i now now take oxycodone 30 mg 6 times aday my dr wants to decrease to 4 times a day but add oxycontin 30mg twice a day. i am very leery of this. i have astma and hypertension. shoud i be concerned? I am 61 ## Hi, Nancy! I totally understand your fears, playing with any medication when you have serious medical conditions is terrifying. Oxycontin actually contains the same medication you are currently taking, it's just a time released formulation of Oxycodone, so you really wouldn't be changing anything. Your doctor is just trying to help you get better pain control. The tablets you're currently taking are regular release, which means that all of the Oxycodone in them is released and starts working in your body about 15 to 20 minutes after you swallow them. With the time rele...

I got a prescription for oxycodone 5mg/5ml solution 1800ml total I am confused on how much is actually in the bottle . I understand that 5ml is equal to one percocet 5mg pill but on the bottle on the side of it it only goes up 300ml so if it has a quantity of 1800ml of formula in it how much is actually in a ml, mabye I am confused any info is greatly appreciated I have talk ed to the pharmacy but I am still confused. Thanks ## What did the pharmacist tell you? Maybe we can decipher what he/she told you. ## I believe that if you check you will find that you have a script for 1800 ml ( this would be almost 2 liters ) and the pharmacy has give you 300 ml and you have several refills on that script. ## I agree with what Daren has stated, but only your pharmacy can say for sure. The old formulation of Opana (octagonal) was far superior than oxycodone in relieving severe chronic pain. Opana is a time released medication that is extremely potent Because of people who abused it, several people died due to overdose. The FDA mandated that Opana be reformulated to deter abuse. The new Opana is, at least for me, totally ineffective although the extremely high cost remained. As of June 2013, there is a generic available although it is still outragesly expensive. ## And once again, what is relevant to you is not necessarily applicable to everyone else. While Opana may have worked better for you than Oxycodone, there are other people who didn't have good luck with it and got much better results from Oxycodone. Learn more Opana details here.
