Hello. My son uses tofranil but now it is not going to be for sale in south africa anymore. What can we replace it with that does the same thing? He used concerta and other treatments but those did not work for him and this tofranil worked. Please help.

I have taken Tofranil PM for over twenty years, with great success. Now that I am retired, I can't afford it and Imipramine Pamote works well, but I can not afford it either. Since it is a generic why is it so high. My insurance will not pay for it either. So I have been ordering it from Canada. They never give me the same meds, it is always a different pill (imipramine HCL). I am afraid I am getting depressed again. Where can I get imipramine pamote at a better price? I had been on 200 mg of Tofranil PM for 30 years. I was tapered off completely in mid-January 2017. Am now experiencing body pain mainly in my stomach and back area. Feels like electrical shocks, and is constant. Could this be a rebound effect and should I be put on a more modern (less side effects) Tricyclic Antidepressant? ## How long has it been since you stopped taking it? Has there been any change in your symptoms, yet? It would be best to consult your doctor, since these issues could be caused by something unrelated to the Tofranil. According to FDA warnings it has been known to cause rebound pain, rebound depression, and headaches, but those usually occur if someone stops taking it cold turkey, rather than tapering off of it. Are you on any other medications?

it has a 10 on one side and an m on the other it is peachy orange ## Is the M in a square and the tablet shaped like a triangle? If so then it contains 10mgs of Imipramine, a generic for Tofranil, this is an antidepressant. Common side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. I've been taking 60mg of Cymbalta for about a month and still feel the same. I was told there is a difference in the additives and now the drup store says they are the same . ## i give my a medicine evert night for her irrited , and her action is change, so i stop give that medicine for one night,cause before i have dry skin. ## I have taken Tofranil PM for 26 years, it is the only thing that works for my chronic depression. Now due to age (71) and Medicare, it is so high, I can't afford it. I was wondering what is the difference in Tofranil PM and Imipramine Hydrochoride? I can't seem to find anyone that knows.

Alcohol may exacerbate some of its side effects and should be avoided. However, the incidence of side effects with nortriptyline is lower than with the first-generation tricyclics (e.g., imipramine (Tofranil), amitriptyline (Elavil)). A study with men has found that treatment with nortriptyline is associated with higher risk of suicidal ideation compared to escitalopram. I have been taking Imipramine for my panic and anxiety disorder for 23 years. I am now up to 150 milligrams per day. It is still working for my anxiety, but over the last year I'm starting to have weird symptoms. Fast heart beat (went to cardio doctor a few years ago and he says it was normal) heart fluttering, excessive sweating while exercising, facial numbness, body twitching, fatigue, dizziness. I also just turned 50 and am e o weir called big menopausal symptoms. I'm a mess!! It is very hard to find any articles on very long term I promise use. Does this have a benifit for prostate cancer,post radical prost., or is it used only for incontinence ? Have been prescribed for 25mg. Radical prostectomy 5 1/2 years ago, AMS Sphincter 8 months ago, still have incontinence. Thanks
