How can you tell if a pill is time released or not. The pill identifier doesn't say. I have 2 strengths of hydrocodone acetaminophen. One is 10/500 and the other is 5/500. Lost directions and don't have the doctor anymore. I can't swallow pills and want to crush and put in applesauce to take. One pill is 3600V pink and oblong, the other is white with a line down the middle and a V in the back. Forgot the numbers on that one. Thanks! ## There is no time released formulation of the Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone combination, they are all regular release formulations. Learn more Vicodin details here. I have been taking Lortab 10/500 3 times a day for about 2 years for fibromyalgia,, bulging discs, arthritis and connective tissue disorder. I seem to be getting worse and as long as I can keep taking it within about 5 hours during the day and at bedtime, I can tolerate the pain. I want to take a 3 wk vacation, but the flight and driving is going to kill me. Is there anything I can suggest to my doctor that will be time released, but not knock me out where I can actually enjoy my time? I feel as though I have to do this before I get so bad I can't leave my community or my house. Any suggestions? ## In my honest opinion, the doctors should be fixing the "cause" of the pain, and not trying to "cover it up" with prescription meds. You shouldn't have to worry about y...

How many milligrams are released per hour in a 30mg morphine ER pill? ## Hi Nickie, I don't know if this will suffice as an exact answer to your question, but one manufacturer of Morphine ER (Endo Pharma) has an article stating that after 1.5 hours following administration of Morphine ER, 50% of it is absorbed. Based on this info alone, I would anticipate 10mgs out of 30mgs being released/absorbed within an hour's time. After that point however, I'm not sure what its release rate would look like over a period of 12 hours. Ref: endo.com/Library/Products/morphine_pack_insert.pdf NOTE - Just in case I misinterpreted any specific details, the information I found pertaining to this is on page 2 in the link above. I hope this helps!

What I do take would keep most people from sedated but I still have some pain and can't seem to do much with or without my meds. any suggestions? ## Sorry to hear about your challenges with pain. If I could suggest anything that might be of help, it would be to include natural treatment options that can safely be used alongside your medication(s) as a sort of adjunctive therapy. i have been taking 50mg of hyrdocodone per day for the last 6 months and it is not working for the pain anymore. I have ankolying spondylitus. My questions is will this work for me as I was taking 50mg of hyrocodone per day. ## How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? The ER Morphine is released slowly, over a period of 12 hours, it is not released all at once, like the Hydrocodone was, so you will not feel the same effect. There is also a change that this dosage isn't high enough for you. Have you informed your doctor of the issue? Though, it is usually best to give it a week, or so, to see if things improve.
