I picked up a generic for Tiazac and the generic is dark green. Is this a safe generic? I can't find out anything about it on the internet. ## I really can't tell you anything about it or confirm what it contains just from the color of the tablet, I'm sorry. It is actually the markings on the tablet that tell us what it is. Did you get it from a licensed U.S. pharmacy? If so, then there shouldn't be a problem, as they are only allowed to supply you with FDA approved generics. I was prescribed tiazac xc 120 mg for high blood pressure and I was recently prescribed by my physician co-diltiazem t 120 mg. I would like to know if these are the same drug? I am somewhat confused! The latter is a purple capsule. please identify if there is a difference!

At one time I was on Tiazac 360 er and then the pharmacy put me on Diltiazem 360. The Tiazac 360 er is more economical than Diltiazem 360 er. I wanted to switch back to Tiazac 360 er. I have 5 refills left, and I asked the girl at the pharmacy and she said that I would have to have a new prescription. I thought that both of these were generics and I do not understand why I would have to have another prescription. The Tiazac works just as well as Diltiazem. I have been taking Diltiazem TR 240 mg manufactured by oceanside, which is the generic for Tiazac. However I cannot find any information on the 'TR'... ## Hello Kathy! How are you? TR is just an abbreviation to show that it is time released. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?
