Deutetrabenazine (trade name Austedo) is a vesicular monoamine transporter 2 inhibitor which is used for the treatment of chorea associated with Huntington’s disease and tardive dyskinesia. Chemically, deutetrabenazine is an isotopic isomer of tetrabenazine in which six hydrogen atoms have been replaced by deuterium atoms. My sister has parkinsons and quite a lot of movement. Has this drug been tried for parkinsons? ## Tetrabenazine is actually contraindicated for the treatment of Parkinson’s [1]. In other words, it might actually worsen the symptoms of Parkinson’s or parkinsonism. Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. References: [1]

I have a round white pill that's not rounded but flattened and has only one imprint on one side that displays "1" and that's it.. Nothing else is on the pill except for the "1". It's super small and I was told it was Xanax but I'm pretty sure it's not.... Anyone have any idea to what it is? Thanks! ## I'd toss it.
