It would be best to check with the person's doctor to be sure, because some things aren't safe to use, but there is no master list we can refer to. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Benadryl as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and drowsiness. Additionally, Benadryl is only effective at treating allergy symptoms, so if the sinus issue is due to something else, such as a cold, it will not help. Is there anything else I can help with?

I had surgery of sinus 10 year before and i get relief through all the problems as cough, blowing nasal, headache, and some more problems i little forget. Within a year i got back all the problems. i have a regular sinus problem throughout the year. But now a days i am facing jealousy in brain(like when water goes to mind through nose and jealousy happens) then after i got some water in my eyes (this is intolerable/ unbearable), i feel heaviness in my left cheek (cant lie down, lots of pain in moving head/face), most of the time my head is paining, some little pain in teeth also. Since a week, I'm suffering from cold, cough & sinus infection. I tried lots of home made medicines, as i always avoid visiting Doctors. But, due to no results, i visited a chemist shop and he gave me Okacet Cold tablets (dosage 1-0-1). Do this really helps in providing relief for cold, cough & sinus infections. ## Okacet Cold contains Acetaminophen, Cetirizine and Phenylpropanolamine. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. Thank u!! ## Hello, It could possibly be an OTC pill called Chlorpheniramine Maleate 4 mg; an antihistamine for sinus and cold relief. It is a round yellow pill that should have the imprint 255. However, since there is no marking on your pill, I can't be 100% certain. And as of 2013, this tablet is listed as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 25mgs of Diphenhydramine, the equivalent to Tylenol PM. I was prescribed this 4 days ago for a horrible ear infection brought on by a sinus infection, and no relief. I am wondering if it's not bacterial and maybe should be prescribed something different to relieve the pressure and pain? ## Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid, the active ingredients in Augmentin, is an antibiotic that is used to treat certain types of infections. However, it can take 5 to 7 days to reach its full effect and will not work as a pain reliever. And, as with any medication, it doesn't always work for everyone that tries it, so if your pain, or infection have not improved, you should contact your doctor. I Have used the prescription Deconamine PSE 120-8 Caps since 1983. It is the one med that has given me relief from my sinus and lung congestion. I was told by Pharmacy that it is no longer available. I've had a bad month with flu and a sinus infection. I'm somewhat immune compromised as I take immuran for Crohn's Disease. I was prescribed doxycycline, and then azithromycin, with no relief from the sinusitis. My doc put me on a 3 week course of levaquin 750mg. The levaquin has been helping my sinusitis, but I've been developing some troubling side effects. First side effect was gastritis with nausea. As I have Crohn's, I know how to deal with gastritis, but none of my usual strategies were working. Finally just did some pretty big doses of liquid gaviscom, which did help. It is the type of allergy tablet to dull the pain, dry out the system and drain the sinuses. All I can see on the back of the package is "relief 125 mg". Any idea what it may be? ## Did the labeling just get ripped off the bottle? Judging from the little bit you can see on the package, it's likely for pain relief, sinus relief, cold and flu relief, allergy relief, or some other over-the-counter medication. I could be wrong, but the imprint does not turn up under any of the U.S. prescription drug databases, leading me to this conclusion. If you're able to take the bottle over to your local pharmacy, I would think that they would have an idea of what it could be or what it actually is, since they come across bottles like this on a regular basis. I recently ran out of my blue watsons and got a cpl from a friend. They did NOTHING for me except dry my sinuses and left an awful taste in my mouth. Adventually i did get alittle nauseated but no itching or pain relief. I have gotten mine refilled since and tried to compare the two right dwn to getting a ruler out and tring to measure them. I cant difenively find a difference in them, so idk how to tell the difference from the fake or real ones until i were to take it.
