SSD Silver Sulfadiazine

Silver sulfadiazine, sold under the brand Silvadene among others, is a topical antibiotic used in partial thickness and full thickness burns to prevent infection.[1] Tentative evidence has found other antibiotics to be more effective and therefore it is no longer generally recommended for second-degree (partial-thickness) burns, but is still widely used to protect third-degree (full-thickness) burns.[2][3] Common side effects include itching and...

Yes I live in Ohio I am an oppiate addict who is on disability ive been through it all i want to know if Ohio Disability ssd covers anything the meds or the visits to the doctors? ## Hi Gene, Based on my research, the Social Security Administration (SSA) webpage for some reason, does not actually list any of the types of services or disability that it supposedly covers. Basic information about the program can be found in the following pdf document. But I have yet to find specific details on coverage: ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10029.pdf However, from the looks of things, it seems like your best bet at this point would be to either contact the SSA directly regarding their coverage, or to discuss any type of disability information with your doctor. Reason being is that every doctor may have diffe...

I just don't know how you all can raise a family live a lone go to work being a chronically in pain patient myself. I can hardly take care of myself and my eight year old and hubby take care of me. I receive SSSI. Please tell me how you do it!. I take fentanall topomax effexor tizanidine loarazapam baclofan warafin symvastin ketamine compound. God bless us all! Callin from calli!:-) ## Hello, Cherokeemama! How are you? It seems there is a mix, some people work, some people don't. It really depends on the severity of the individual's condition, how degenerative it is, what medications they are taking and etc. Some people prefer to work, as long as they can, if they can and others are unable to get approved for SSDI. With that mix of medications you're on, your condition a...

according to her directions and how many pills Im given. I haven't even had the surgeries yet but my pain has been unbearable considering these proven medical problems have been going on for 10+ years. Thank God for OHP, I finally have med insurance, which I hadn't had since 2004. This PCP even knew my old PCP that I had gone to and paying out of my pocket for help with pain management. I was on a 3yr pain contract with old PCP and she was always willing to help with adjusting pain med if they were not helping to keep pain under control. I do not understand why this (younger than me PCP will not even discuss with me about adjusting my pain meds.) She absolutely will not because she says she wouldn't want to have to send me to rehab to get me off of pain pills. Im sorry but W...

Hi I just moved from Washington State to Portland,Oregon. I am on SSDI for back injury,3 bulging disks and massive arthritus in neck, and 3 in thoratic back, and for Degenerative disk disease.I was going to a pain management center-referred to them by my regular doc,& they had me taking Norco-Vicodin 30 mgs a day. When I came to Portland,OR the doc that I'm seeing now said she's going to "wean me off" of pain meds, that I need to be able to function doing just everyday living things like showering, walking the dog, ect. I asked her then what? After I'm completely off them, she said well U could try PT but U said that hasn't worked in the past-which it didn't the PT I went to actually sent me home saying it was making condition worse/more pain. I want to move from Maine to NH. I am on SSDI, and have medicaid in Maine, but I don't know if it is given automatically to people on disability in NH. Naturally, I want to have a clinic in place, BEFORE I move. I know you are supposed to be living there before you can apply, but I don't want to move there, and then find out I can't get Medicaid there! Anyone have experience in this subject? Thanks soooo much! ## I have to be honest and admit that I am not familiar with how it works in NH, it's been many years since I've been there and, even then, it was only for a short visit. But the idea I had would be to contact your current Medicaid caseworker and discuss it with them. They should be able to help you find the information you need. If you don't have a regular...

My son has been a methodone for program for 5 months. He is disabled and his only means of income is $1,100 a month on SSD. He has to pay $35 a week to get his methodone. They ask him anywhere from 2 to 3 times a week for a U.A which they charged him $20 per diagnosis. This is from $40 to $60 a week that he does not have. If they do not get their money they refuse to give him his medicine. I am a senior citizen and cannot afford an extra $40 or $60 a week to give him. They hold him for ransom if he does not have the money. He tells them he will give it to them when he gets his check on the 3rd Wednesday of each month but they say no. If this fair?? ## Hello, Npet! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that your son is having. Is it necessarily fair? No! But is it legal, so t...

Hi, I'm now in the FAIR OAKS area of Sacramento & am A STAGE 4 CANCER PATIENT that is obviously on SSDI/SSI but since I receive $743 TOTAL a month & am @ a room & board, basically I also have no family or friends? They r back on the East Coast anyway. SERIOUS QUESTION: IF THEY CAN FIRST AT LEAST REFER ME TO A COMPASSIONATE PCP OR INTERNAL MEDICINE DR. WHO WILL CONTINUE MY MEDS? I ONLY HAVE 3 & A HALF ORGANS FROM ALL THESE SURGERIES & LONG STORY SHORT EVER SINCE MY LAST DR. RETIRED, I CAN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME (ESPECIALLY ON MY OWN), find a normal doctor that will fill my normal prescriptions which is just my alprazolam for my seizures and my panic attacks and my PTSD. Then I take either or long-acting pain medication and a breakthrough pain medication. I just ...

Bf is past user from 20 plus yrs ago. Started again in '08 and has continued use daily to present. Don't know how to help him & am so Frustrated. He is HIV positive w/catastrophic care with his doc. Doc doesn't know what is going on. Says he wants to stop but doesn't want to compromise his relationship with MD. On Medicare & SSD-can't threaten that. I don't know how to help him. Afraid Suboxone from another source will compromise relationship w/ DR. ## Wow! You are in a very tough situation. If he needs help, he needs help and his doctor will understand that. Getting from an illegal source is what would compromise his doctor's caring for him and trusting him. He needs to go through legal venues, by seeing a doctor that has the waiver to treat with Sub...

Has anyone been approved for Actavis Patient Assistance Program? I've been in the coverage gap (donut hole) since February. One months prescription is over $500 and I will need these enzymes for the rest of my life. If you were approved, How did you qualify. Do you have any insurance? I was denied because I'm on a Medicare Advantage program. I'm on SSDI and this expense is a true hardship. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ## Has anyone had trouble with the cost of their Zenpep prescription. It is also known as Pancrealipase, although there are no generic substitutes. It is mainly prescribed for Cystic Fibrosis and Chronic Pancreatitis. It is manufactured by Actavis Pharmaceuticals. I have prescription coverage through a Medicare Advantage Replacement Plan. What is a good medication for Fibromyalgia? I use to actually take a Pain Sucker from my doctor in Kentucky, but since I've moved my doctor won't give it to me. I have a lot wrong with me. Chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, RA, OA, memory loss, DDD, and many other things. L4,L5, S1 messed up, doctors won't do surgery. Migraines almost daily., Whip lash, my left leg stays numb, like blood circulation cut off. Chronic Pancreatis, Gall Bladder removed, Left thyroid and connector removed, both shoulders have had surgery, and 1 knee surgery. I'm on the edge of being bi-polar, depressed, have anxiety attacks and panic attacks. It just doesn't end. Which the judge don't think I qualify for SSDI and I've applied since 2000 ! Anyone have any ideas? I've taken so much, no...

After being on every imaginable antidepressant over the past twenty-five years and undergoing ect, I have found that Ritalin has worked the best for me. I have been taking it for about two years now and wonder why I had to suffer for so many years prior. But that is history and I don't dwell on it. I look forward to tomorrow now. ## Really helps with my depression as well as my ADD. I believe the ADD contributed to the depression because it causes me to be less productive which causes stress. ## Greetings KM. . My doc just rx'd Ritalin for depression and memory issues or severe decline only 52, plus add, panic attacks, and anxiety. Think that covers it all lol. Looking for a place where I can order generic Famvir (Famciclovir) over the counter. Silly as may sound, I have several cats/kittens (rescue) with kitty colds (feline herpes virus) & best treatment is Famvir. Literally amazing how quickly & well it works, often without need to give antibiotics (since FHV is a viral illness, but it can lead to secondary infections in which case antibiotics may be warranted). Since many know I do rescue, several send me their left over meds commonly used on felines, however at moment none happen to have any Famvir (Famcyclovir). My vet has written scripts several times in past without need to bring in for actual visit, as he is well aware I do rescue & my only income is SSDI, however his wife who manages office is a stickler for enforcing offi...
