I've suffered from insomnia for years. I was prescribed Rozerem recently and so far, it works. Directions are to take 30 minutes before bed. They do work! The only side effects mt doctor found were erratic menstruation. That I have not experienced yet. ## I have just started Rozerem and would like to know how others like it and what side effects they have had. ## I have also started taking Rozerem. I saw no results after two nights but the dr. said it took time to work and not to quit taking it. I don't find this statement in the drug company information. I sufer insomnia. Have taken differents medicines, but after several days I find they don't work. My Dr. gave me some sample of Rozerem, but I don't anything about this medication. ## I accepted this perscription as ambien or its generic zolpidem is for short term use and was no longer effective and I had been on it for a long time. I read the ingredients in rozerem and was disturbed by "black shellac" as the 2nd to last ingredient listed, but took my first pill 30 minutes before bedtime as instructed. I woke in the middle of the night extremely nauseated and eventually returned to sleep, however upon waking in the morning, felt nauseated still. Took hours for the nausea to wear off and spent all yesterday in a sluggish state of being. Did not repeat taking the pill last...

I took only 3 of my script. The first night it was like I was sleeping in cotton candy. Night, I was paralyzed physically but wide awake. My cat kept trying to close my eyes, but they'd pop right back open. It was snowing and I swear on all that is holy, I could "HEAR" each snowflake as they bumped one another and when they settled on my roof, FREAKY, couldn't move, glad I didn't have to go to bathroom!! Lasted 12 hrs. Night 3... NO SLEEP WHATSOEVER...This LASTED 105 hours, began getting sores in my mouth and nose, tongue swelled (not to uncomfortably.) I'll have to check with him again.... ## Chris, I do think it might be Rozerem since that's what it is prescribed for. Plus running a Google search for Rosozon does not return anything. Rozerem is the first and only prescription sleep medication that has shown no evidence of abuse and dependence and, as a result, has not been designated as a controlled substance by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
