I use Aggrenox (blood thinner) and Losartan (blood pressure) and my hair is thinning. If I use women's Rogaine will there be any side effects, or problems with the medications? Glo ## Hello, Glo! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. However, you may be better served to speak to your doctor about switching off of the Losartan to a different medication, it has been known to cause hair thinning and hair loss in some people that take it. Additional side effects, as listed by the FDA may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I was taking propranolol to help with anxiety. Dosage was dependent on how bad anxiety was on any given day. I was struggling with self-esteem, so visited a hair clinic for help with thinning hair. One of the things that I was given by the clinic was Minoxidil 10%, which is a product proven to help stimulate hair regrowth (see Rogaine). This product was applied to the scalp twice a day, morning and night. Within a few days of using the Minoxidil, I started to feel chronic fatigue, which literally knocked me off my feet. I also went into a really deep depression. Something was not right! I took to Dr Google lol. Very quickly, I found that chronic fatigue and depression are two symptoms of very low blood pressure. I'm already losing hair as I grow older (am going on 76). Does anyone know of a hypothyroid medication that does NOT cause more hair loss? ## Unfortunately no. Have you consulted your doctor? There may be other solutions you can try, such as Minoxidil/Rogaine:

Have been on 50 mg Flecainide twice daily and 125 mcg Digoxin once daily for one year due to sporadic episodes of tachycardia and one incident of Afib that landed me in the hospital. My rhythm adjusted itself after 12 hours. I noticed an increase in hair loss a month or two after I started taking it. I thought it was due to stress levels several months previously because I had experienced hair loss in the past due to stress. That subsided and the hair would grow back but not entirely. However, it has been continually falling out an alarmingly steady pace since. I have seen my dermatologist who said everything seemed normal and to try rogaine. small white pill with the letters mp 89 and 10 other side ## this is a loniten otherwise know as Minoxidil pill 10mg made by mutual pharmaceuticals and is used to help high blood pressure in when taken in the pill form.....as a topical use it is used to help hair growth as is rogaine
