I had an inj. two days ago in the side of my upper thigh/hip area. For a mild kidney infection. The pain was excruciating. A minute later I turned white and almost passed out. I had been consuming plain water in abundance and solids regularly and wasn't having stomach disturbances; I am doubtful the near-fainting had anything to do with dehydration but they immediately give me an iv of saline and Torodol. They also had me take an oral anti-nausea medication. I'm a bit on the thin side but am also muscular especially in my thighs and but from long-distance running. The pain started not long after the iv painkiller wore off, about 8-12 hours later. The patheaters at the inj. site and shoots down my leg whenever I put any weight on it or even lightly touch it. I do not have any pai...

I had a total knee replacement, it got infection; went back to hospital for another surgery to "clean the infection up," and got C. Diff. Was treated just a couple of days (via unknown medication, red drops directly into my mouth). I am about to complete 6 full weeks of Rocephin via Pick Line. I have a dull ache in the sciatia every time my knee hurts. Could this possilby be related? Also, what is the possibility of my getting C. Diff again? ## Hello, Dean! How are you? The aching is most likely just due to the knee replacement and is some nerves radiating. They can do that quite often, though the pain may be arising from another location. I'm not sure what the chances are of your getting it, again. Have your doctors given you any information on that? I'll do some resear...

I have had bad pain in the upper part of my leg and my hip since I got the rocephin shot. My leg got so sore about 2 hours after the shot, that I could barly walk on it. Now it hurts constantly and it catches and shots pain at where I sit down and stand up. I can hardly walk on my leg. I am wondering is this suppose to happen after this shot. I didn't have this before. ## Soreness, swelling, pain, and redness are possible side effects of getting a Rocephin shot. When exactly did you get the shot? Was it earlier today? Either way, if the pain persists or worsens i would highly recommend that you notify your doctor. Individuals with allergies to antibiotics may also be adversely affected. I would say monitor how you feel, and don't wait too long to place a phone call. Please post ...

I got a Rocephin shot and a steroid shot yesterday, the nurse gave both in the same hip less than an inch apart. I immediately began bleeding out all over her hand my pants and the floor. The pain in my Hip spread to my leg and lower back, the dr. gave me naproxen sodium for pain....its not working I hurt worse then i did when i went in with my ear infections, i dont know if this is normal but i called the drs office and they still havent called me back. ## Hello, Renee! How are you? The bleeding shouldn't have occurred like that from just getting a couple of shots. That's rather unusual and that coupled with the pain makes me wonder about exactly what happened. The pain can happen with a steroid and if some of the medications pool under the skin in the muscle, that would explai...

Used to treat MRSA ## To treat MRSA, Vancomycin or other antibiotics in the same class are used. Other options may include: Flucloxacillin, Erythromycin and Ciprofloxacin. I am not, however, finding any that start with an R. but it is possible that some doctors may use Rocephin, the active ingredient in Ceftriaxone, though it is not listed as being used to treat MRSA. Do you have any other information, such as antibiotic class or anything on the particular one or ones you are seeking information on? ## After taking a round of Cipro and Flagel, I have an imbalance of flora that is causing me diahrrea and stomach pain.
