Brexpiprazole, sold under the brand name Rexulti among others, is an atypical antipsychotic. It is a dopamine D2 receptor partial agonist and has been described as a "serotonin–dopamine activity modulator" (SDAM). The drug was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on July 10, 2015, for the treatment of schizophrenia, and as an adjunctive treatment for depression.[4][5] It has been designed to provide improved efficacy and tolerability (e...

5th day of Rexulti. Abilify caused tics & tremors. Got off latuda..bad side effects. Also on Viibryd....no improvement with it. ## Hello, Lenats! How are you? Have you experienced any side effects? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Rexulti as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and weight gain. Has anyone else been on it who can share their experience? ## Mostly dry mouth. Not too bad though. ## I've been on it for 3-4 weeks and I've been having a lot of nausea and bloating. Not sure if it's related or not. I feel almost like I'm pregnant but my husband had a vasectomy a year ago so that seems unlikely. ## I'm on Wellbutrin 150mg. deplin 15 mg and .5mg of Rexulti. I feel so much better and hope it continues. I have been so inactive from depre...

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, weight gain, orthostatic hypotension, seizures and impaired judgment. Can anyone that's on it chime in with their experiences? ## Just started Rexulti .5mg... having some nausea and headache... not sure it's side effects... got off Latuda. Still on Viibryd. Anyone have experience with any of these? ## I stopped taking it. Went back on Abilify. Perhaps, I should have given it more time. I have been taking .5 milligrams or Rexulti once a day for 2 weeks. My depression seems to be getting worse. Any thoughts? ## Rexulti is an antipsychotic, and it has been known to cause worsening depression, and other mood changes, as side effects, in some people that take it. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, and weight changes. Please inform your doctor of what you're experiencing, since this might not be the right medication for you. Are you on any other medications?

Hello. I have had great success taking Rexulti 2MG (added onto my other antidepressant for MDD) since 2017. My doctor increased the dosage to 2.5MG because of the return of some depression symptoms (low motivation, energy, sadness) The target dose for depression is 2MG but can go up to 3. Has anyone benefited from increasing the dose above 2MG for depression symptoms? I’m wondering if there is room for improvement since I’m already at 2MG. Thanks! ## When the medication information states that it can be used up to a certain dose, that usually means it's because those doses have been found to be helpful, otherwise, they usually state that no beneficial effect was found from increasing the dose. Thus, it would likely be best to follow your doctor's instructions, and tr...

My prescriber wants me to take a very expensive psych med called Rexulti (~$1,100/mth), and tells me that Medicaid won't drop me for doing so. If you know Utah politics, they are still fighting ACA Medicaid Expansion and finding ways to reduce Medicaid programs such as PCN. I feel that if I take such an expensive medication, that puts a target on my back to be dropped at the first excuse. The state Medicaid office and pharmacies will not tell me how much each is paying, so I am left to guess if they have worked the price down, or if it's the bullet I think it is. As an alternative, I am thinking of taking its analog Abilify (aririprazole). But the problem is the same, they won't disclose pricing and Utah Medicaid refuses to pay outside Utah such as a Canadian pharmacy that s...

I was on 10 mg of Brintellix for about 4 months and then my doctor added 10 mg of Rexulti. I felt like i was being stimulated. He then upped my Brintellix to 20 mg and my anxiety went crazy. I was having racing thoughts and couldn't sit still. In my mind i had to be doing something all the time. I also started having panic attacks. This was only over a 2 week period. I then dropped back to 10 mg and cut my rexulti to 5 mg. I told the doctor I wanted to switch back to celexa. He told me to just stop the Brintellix and start the celexa at 10 mg. It's been about 2 weeks now and I still have panic attacks and I wake every morning feeling anxious which last most of the day until the evening. I can't handle this anxiety. I feel amped up. It's like the side effects are continui...

Is there any interaction with essential oils and suboxone?? Since I have been using the oils along with probiotics, it seems as if the half life of the suboxone does not last as long, and I thing that may be due to the detoxing effects of both probiotics and essential oils. I know you may not know since these two detoxers are not approved by BIG FARMA, which I believe is tainted anyway, but thank you for your time and reading my?? ## Suboxone and rexulti interactions if taken together ## Hello, I'm not sure about the actual interaction between the suboxone itself as there doesn't seem to be a solid case study done on this but I was able to find that there was at least one case study done by the National Institute of Health that shows a direct relationship between decreased opioi...
