Ciclosporin, also spelled cyclosporine and cyclosporin, is a calcineurin inhibitor, used as an immunosuppressant medication. It is a natural product.[6] It is taken by mouth or by injection into a vein for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, Crohn's disease, nephrotic syndrome, and in organ transplants to prevent rejection.[6][7] It is also used as eye drops for keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eyes).[8] Common side effects include h...

Hi, how long does it take for restasis to work ? ## Hello, Pegostress! How are you? How long have you been using it? It may take a couple of weeks to reach its full level of efficacy in your body and increase tear products. Common side effects may include a burning sensation, red eyes, runny eyes and eye discharge. Are you on any other medications? That could also affect it. ## I am taking Bepreve for eye allergies thats it.. I think I need to move back to the city... I was on wellbutrin for years and my vision got so blurry now I need bifocals. So i got a double whammy almost 2 weeks now does nothing ## Bepreve contains an antihistamine, so it could actually be contributing to the dry eye. Has anyone had experience with Xiidra, for dry eyes? I am curious if there are any side effects not listed by the company... ## I have been experiencing extreme headaches, and I just had a brainstorm: Could it be induced by Xiidra? Restasis certainly caused headaches and more. It has definitely affected my sense of taste.

eye drops ## Is it possible for rastasis eye drops to cause the blood to thin so that clotting is difficult. My husband has been using these drops for about a week and a cut on his hand was still bleeding profusely the next morning. This is very uncommon for him and rastasis is the only new medication he is using. ## Restasis is listed as containing Cyclosporine, it is used in drop form to treat chronic dry eye. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including irritation, redness, burning, and eye irritation, and yes, it has also been reported to cause bleeding and clotting disorders in some patients. How is he doing, now? Has there been any change?

At age 46 I had complete hysterectomy and was prescribed Estratest which I continued to take until age 63. Due to bad publicity for this medication, I informed my primary care dr. that I was not continuing to take it. He did not agree and told me he was making note of "my choice" in my medical history. Now, 10 years later, I am having severe dry eye problems and am allergic to Restasis. No optical meds for relief are available...over the counter eye meds give no relief. My son suggested that I get back on Estratest. Since I have had a complete hysterectomy, and other major medical issues, what is the risk to getting back on Estratest??? ## Hello, Jan! How are you? The risks are the same as always, when using HRT, it can cause blood clots, that could lead to heart attack or strok...

My Dad has Sjogrens dry eyes. Can't get Hypoteatrs in local stores any longer. Does anyone know of an exact alternative?? ## Have you tried checking online to see if you can order them? I've found them in stock at several online retailers, including Amazon. I am having a problem finding a listing of the exact ingredients, but if online ordering isn't an option for you, you might want to try asking a pharmacist for an equivalent alternative. ## alternative to Hypotears ## I m in the same situation now taht it's impossible to get this product my life has been hell, I dont seek help with my eye dr (I done that t several times before) but is no help for me, in the first place the test they do are really hard for me to handle and after that the only alternative is restasis wi...
