I did not menstruate in Oct, and after testing negative in Pregnancy I was put on Provera pill for10 days. On the 3rd day off the pill I had light bleed for two days. enough to fill 2 pantyliners (brown blood). I was put on a contraceptive pill on Nov. 27 till now Jan. 1,2017. I am having pregnancy symptoms sore breast and more. My question is how certain and accurate that notion if "you bleed from provera, you're not pregnant?" regardless if its a light bleed that only lasted for a 2 days? please reply there were lot of posted question but no replies.

Hello there, I am 26 years old and I am not sexually active. My menstruation was always irregular. It was either delayed for 2-3 months or when i have my period it usually lasts for 7-8 days and i am a heavy bleeder. However it became normal for the last four years after I had taken pills for 6 months long in the past. Just recently, my period got delayed again for 2 months (may and june 2018). Hi there, I have searched the web but cant find my answer. Was given Provera 10mg twice daily starting on THE LAST DAY of my menstrual cycle. For the past few months I had terrible spotting a week before my period was due, which is awfull. My period would last app. 4-7 days after this. I was diagnosed with endemetrioses at a young age, but have healthy children:-) We are trying for a baby but struggeling. My gynie tested to see if I am ovulating, and I am. He gave me Provera to start on the last day (the 25 June)last pil on the 5th July. I have not started any kind of spotting or period up to now (16 days) and my period is 3 days late. I have menstrual cramps for 3 days but nothing. Also no nausea bit of tender breasts. Is this common? I dont want to get too excited as it is devestating do

I am 56 and I have been taking eostrogen hrt for 6 months. My dr prescribed privera 1/2 pil daily last week to induce bleeding. I am now housebound, cannot work and bleeding profusely with chronic period pain & nausea for the past week. She suggested taking 3x pils each day for 3 days & see what happens. Im worried this will increase the bleeding. I stopped taking it 48 hrs ago and the bleeding is worse. Does anyone know how long this can go on? Hi, I am a 30 year old mother of two with a tubal ligation. I have been having horrible abdominal pain after intercourse and have always had really heavy heavy periods that are irregular and clotty and very painful. Had an ultrasound done. So they didn't find anything except that I had a very thick endometrium. Would a thick endometrium cause pain after intercourse? The pain lasts well into the next day. Sometimes I have pain when I haven't had intercourse as well. It is doubled over pain that lasts up to 24-48 hours (I have a high tolerance for pain and never go to the doctor). So my doctor prescribed me medroxyprogesterone 10mg (provera) for 5 days to start AF. I have only taken 2 pills, and woke up this morning and when I wiped, it was brown. It is very stretchy and very mucous like (almost like ewcm except with brown). I am supposed to take my 3rd pill at noon today. Hello, I was given Provera last month to stop my period before I went on holiday. After a few days of being on Provera I started bleeding and this continued on and off for the rest of the holiday (2 weeks). As soon as I got home I stopped taking the tablets and had my period. However, I am now 4/5 days late. Could this be due to the Provera or something else? Hello. I have the Jadelle implant. Today I went in to get provera to stop spotting. On the provera information sheet it says to use other non-hormonal forms of contraception. Does this apply to the Jadelle? My question is if I have the jadelle implant and I take the provera, do I have to use any other form of contraception? I am 62, post menopausal, have thickening of endo lining and spot bleeding. I am on provera and it has stopped the spotting. I forgot to take it for 2 days. I started spitting again. Now I am back on it faithfully and am not spotting. Is this medicine to help thin my lining out or just stop spot bleeding? Will I have to take it for the rest of my life? Hi! last october 2016, my period didn't came. I only had some spotting for 4 days. I went to my Obgyne to check if I'm pregnant or not. The result of my pregnancy test was negative. She then told me to do a Trans-V Ultrasound and later on, we found out that I have PCOS. She then told me to drink Provera for 10 days so that I'll have my period and to take Althea Pills on the very first day of my period. I was prescribed to take Estrofem for 21 days, twice daily and in the last for days to take Povera 5 also twice daily. I am 28, and TTC. how long after taking my last pill will my birth control kick back in? ## There is still ongoing debate on whether or not Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim will affect hormonal contraceptives, so most doctor's advise using back up protection, until you have been done taking it for a full 7 days. However, if you are on the shot, I haven't been able to find any direct information on it, so you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Did you doctor provide any information on it?

Hello I started taking Provera to time the start of an IVF cycle but my estrogen has gone really high. Like about 5000. It has happened 2 times now in a row. The estrogen has still come down to baseline after m period. Could Provera do this? I've read it lowers natural progesterone and was thinking perhaps this could create an unopposed estrogen dominant situation? My concern is it could otherwise be something bad like ovarian cancer. Would you estrogen come back down to baseline under 70 if it was this causing it? Looking for some answers. Thanks
