how long after taking my last pill will my birth control kick back in? ## There is still ongoing debate on whether or not Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim will affect hormonal contraceptives, so most doctor's advise using back up protection, until you have been done taking it for a full 7 days. However, if you are on the shot, I haven't been able to find any direct information on it, so you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Did you doctor provide any information on it?

Hi i was on Depo for like a year and half & now i want to conceive as soon as possible what can i do to get Depo out of my body? ## Hello, Kayla! How are you? There is nothing you can do to speed up the process, it is just going to take time for your body to regulate your hormones on its own and for you to ovulate, again, according to the NIH. How long ago did you stop getting the depo? Are you on any other medications? ## I had my last shot last year on December 31st was supposed to go back this year on March but i decided to stop.

I want to find out the meaning of prenolite depot as a doctor advised me to get it, am pregnant and am bleeding(sub chroninic hematoma) ## Primolut Depot is a progesterone supplement, it is a hormone that is vital to females and to carrying a healthy baby to full term. Most miscarriages are caused by a deficiency in it. Thus, you should take it as prescribed by your doctor, as they are trying to ensure the best possible outcome for you and your baby. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

Within hours of first injection had a feeling of weakness and some stomach cramps. Next day, severe stomach cramps, large amount of gas and very loose stools. Now at day 4 and continue with some stomach cramps and gas and loose stools, Developed a low level headache since day 2, Advil helps. ## It's been 8 days since my first injection of Somatuline Depot. Stomach cramps are largely abated, continue to have loose stools. I am not comfortable being too far from a toilet, sudden loose bowel discharge continues to be a problem. a few times I have not been able to get to a toilet in time. Have lost approximately 5 lbs (245 to 240) so not all is bad. Beginning to wonder if side affects are worth the results. ## Somatuline Depot contains the active ingredient Lanreotide, it is most common...

I've been taking this medicine but I don't know if it's working or not. It feels like it is at times but then other times it doesn't. I wasn't given this medicine by a doctor though, But Family members say I should continue on the medicine because they said they see results in it. I've been having anger issues and depression issues that's why they put me on the medicine. What should I do? ## You should really see a doctor. It isn't proper for your family to try to treat you and prescribe the medication that they think is appropriate. Only a doctor can properly diagnose your problem and help you decide on the correct course of treatment. Fluoxetine is an SSRI antidepressant and there are reasons it is normally only available by prescription. It may cause s...

hi early this year i used a depo contraceptive and realise that am menstruating for a long time about 2 weeks, my doctor suggest that i switch to nur- isterate,i took it on the 4th of August and i was on my period since then i never stopped bleeding. what might be the problem please help ##stressed## ## That can be a normal side effect of hormonal contraceptives, as reported by the U.S. FDA, you may also experience nausea, headache, dizziness, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. It usually takes about 3 months for them to clear up and go away, once your body gets used to the medication. If they continue after that, then it may not be the right one for you to take. Is there anything else I can help with?

Why is there a problem of supply in the UK of the once monthly dose of Somatuline Depot? With a diagnosis of Acromegaly, currently my sister is receiving it every two weeks because the monthly dosage is not available. It is very inconvenient this way and means nausea and side effects every two weeks instead of once a month.

Yes, thinning hair, or other changes to your hair are listed as possible side effects of Somatuline, along with nausea, diarrhea, blurry vision, and dizziness. I have been on Depo shot for a year and just started taking Chantix a month ago and have been bleeding for 2 weeks, the bleeding just stopped but I am wondering if the depo shot is still effective? My husband and I have intercourse frequently but do not want to get pregnant again. ## Hello, FloridaGirl! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. It is a hormonal contraceptive, so some breakthrough can be a normal side effect. Is there anything else I can help with?

Has anyone had issues after receiving a spinal epidural injection (Epidural Steroid Injection or ESI) for their back and/or sciatic pain? ## Hello Dennis, I was doing some research on the National Institute of Health's website and I was going to provide you with a list of side effects but the list is so ridiculously long that I feel like it would be overbearing. So instead of doing that I want to ask you what side effects you are experiencing and I will read through the list myself and see if I can find that specific section and give you the answers your asking. If you would actually prefer to look at all of the side effects yourself I have provided the link to the NIH link I was looking at below.
