I took a planB onestep pill on Monday the 4th and on Wednesday the 6th I started to take Ampicilina Mexapin for a really bad sore throat. I wasn't on any medication when i took the Plan B Pill it was until 2 days after that i took this Antibiotic. I was just wondering if this Antibiotic could decrease the effectiveness of the PlanB Pill? ## Hello, Andrea! How are you? Sorry about the sore throat. There shouldn't be a problem, especially since you didn't take them together on the same day. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. The side effects for Plan B may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and spotting. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was on an...

I took plan b one step less than 24 hours after a slip up. I got a period about a week later. It was lighter and shorter than usual. My period last month was almost two weeks late and again light and short. On and off I've had heavy milky discharge. When I went to the bathroom it was so abundant I heard it fall out of me. I've never had this much discharge. Just wondering if I could be pregnant or it is a plan b side effect. It's been almost two months since I took it. ## Usually, when you have that much discharge, it's due to a yeast infection. The FDA does list this medication as being known to cause various types of vaginal infections and issues as side effects, along with spotting and menstrual pain. Are you on any other medications? Have you checked for pregnancy?

I've only taken 1 mg of Soboxone a day since I was prescribed it three years ago. Now I want to quit. I started tapering and am at .25 twice a day. I plan on going down to .125 mg in a couple days.Has anyone had a similar experience and should I expect for withdrawals to be easy since I've never taken more then 1 mg? ## I tried (UNSUCCESSFULLY) for almost a year to get off suboxone!! I managed to get down to mere grains (probably 1/16th of a tablet) a day for three months.. Three days after I quit completely I felt horrible. Not physically but it's like my mind was so down I could even get off my sofa to feed my fish that were six steps away! I hate this dependence and wish I had never used it as long as I have (4yrs). Unless I am able to have no obligations like a career I ...

I took a plan b one step, then started what I thought was my period a week later (one week early, which I figured was normal). On day 2 of bleeding, I inserted a nuvaring. I had used nuvaring a couple of months prior, but had skipped a month, then inserted a new one. Well, it is now 13 days of straight bleeding. Sometimes light, sometimes heavier period bleeding. I am more annoyed than alarmed. I live in a rural area and have to drive an hour to see a DrDr. I figure it will stop eventually, but I am getting impatient and wondering if I should take the nuvaring outout and use condoms or if this will just prolong it. Anyone had a similar reaction to Plan B +nuvaring? If so, how long did it last?! I would love to be intimate with my man but we're a bit new for *that* kind of intimacy. ...

Hey there, I have tried the patch before and am currently trying again. I was classified as a heavy smoker (more like two heavy smokers), and wanted to do things right this time....but I'm impatient! I was wondering if anyone knows how Step 1 one truly compares to smoking 10-20 cigarettes a day. I ask because I'm considering cutting Step one in half (3 weeks), moving on to Step 2 (I have 13 days-worth from leftovers), and finishing with 17 days of Step 3 (again, including leftovers from my last attempt a few months ago). I don't want to waste the extras, and I figure the withdrawals will come whether it's been three or six weeks, I just need to be strong. I didn't truly want to quit last time. I thought I was strong enough and it would be easy. This time I know it...

I am planning to walk off my clinic in a few days and im not to sure what my best options is. I was thinking of taking my last dose of 40mgs sundays at 7am and then narcan myself Monday am and start suboxone for a few days on Tuesday. ive tried to walk off before and I can never get past the 72 hr point to start suboxone, but also ive always been on an extremely high dose of 185-230mgs but this past year I have tapered off slowly. I am already not feeling great cause the 40mgs does not hold me. does anyone have any options or ideas for me that would be better than narcan myself or having to cold turkey for few days. ## StaceyLynn, Congratulations on taking this big step! Valeant will no longer allow coupon usage in California. I use to get the brand Wellbutrin XL 150 for $5, but as of January 2018, AB265 passed. It prohibits pharmaceutical drug coupons in California with 5 exceptions to the bill. One exception in particular (C) The individual has completed any applicable step therapy or prior authorization requirements for the branded prescription drug, applies to my situation. But, Valeant is not willing to comply with the exception. I called the company on 3 separate occasions and they said they absolutely will not allow usage of their coupon in California. I even gave them the Assembly Bill 265 information regarding the exceptions, but they were not going to look in to it. In contrary, Pfizer, the maker of brand Zoloft, already had a plan for usage of t

My stepfather died of HITT in 2010. I recently read about the huge recall in 2008. Is it possible that there is/was still contaminated lots out there? And who would I take this to other than the FDA? from what Ive read theyre not doing a very good job on their findings. ## No, it is highly unlikely that there were still contaminated lots on the market 2 years later, even if there were, you'd have to have some way to prove it. And there really is no one else to take it to, unless you are planning on filing a legal claim, which isn't likely since you aren't a direct relative. I am, however, very sorry for your family's loss. Are there any other questions or comments?

I took plan b one step about a week ago and had such a bad experience! I had nausea the first two days, started spotting the third day, by the fifth day was bleeding VERY heavily and the whole time had the most terrible cramps. It seems like everything that could happen did...I was especially disturbed because I'd taken another ECP one other time about 4 years ago and experienced no side effects. Now, it's been just over a week and the bleeding has stopped as well as the normal menstrual cramps, but they were replaced by pain in my lower abdomen that feels more like dull muscle pain when I push on my lower abdomen, walk or hold my stomach in. It's not severe, but it is definitely noticeable and just one more out of the ordinary thing to worry about. Also, I would have though...

Below is an article from Stephanie Marcus, who has done some research into the recently popular Chinese Diet Pills. They go by several names including Fruta Planta and Yctpahehhe Ahwhero Beca... Sasha Fernandez lost four pounds in one week with no stringent diet or lengthy cardio sessions. She’s not a cheesy actress on a late night infomercial, but the 21-year-old customer service rep from South Florida is on a quest to ditch 15 pounds. Her method of choice: an allegedly "all natural" over-the-counter diet pill imported from China. Sasha wants results fast. She doesn’t care that the Chinese pills likely aren’t as organic or "herbal" as they claim. She knows her weight loss could be coming from unregulated prescription drugs posing as the above. "The...

I am suffering from hip joint pain, lower leg pain, severe pain, even sometimes unable to walk few steps forward. Done all tests as doctor prescribed. MRI also, no problem seen. Friend suggest D3. Is it safe to take? Is there any side effects ? I'm also Hyperthyroidism patient but in control now. ## Supplementing with Vitamin D3 can be very beneficial in many aspects; but in my honest opinion, I don't think it will help with severe pain management. Depending on the dose of D3 you plan on taking, it would be pretty difficult to take the amount required to get any sort of undesirable side effects. I've personally taken 5,000 IU on a daily basis and felt like it helped me get through some rainy days. Have you considered any other alternatives to help treat the cause of your pai...

I have been taking Lexapro for 2 years and have decided that is enough. My doctor suggests taking 1 tablet every 2nd day for 2 weeks, and then one every third day for 2 weeks. 10mg. Not sure this is the right way about it. ## Hello, Stephen! How are you? That is the modern preferred tapering method for such a medication. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, fever, chills, diarrhea, rebound depression and rebound anxiety. Have you started his plan, yet? It should help to minimize the withdrawal symptoms.

My 80 yr. old mother had a DVT and was put on Pradaxa 4 mo. ago. Her new Dr. states she's not very familiar with the drug but will "taper" her off it by going down to one pill a day over 3 days. I'm wondering if tapering is necessary or should she just completely stop? Thank you for any answers. ## Why does she wanted her to stop taking it? After having a DVT, it is very important to take steps to prevent a recurrence, and something that helps prevent clotting, such as Pradaxa is usually one of those steps. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, dizziness, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. Is there a plan to replace it with something else?

My doctor put me on Xifaxan 3 X daily for 14 days because he had no samples. Walgreens called to inform me my copay is $844.00 which I can't pay! I know this works for SIBO bc I've had samples from him before. The cost of this antibiotic is excessive! ## I have now spoken with 3 pharmacist about coupons etc about cost of this Xifaxin! Without my Part D plan my insurance said my cost would be $4500. 14 days supply! Even the insurance rep tried to help but nothing anybody can do. Across the board this medicine is too costly! Many people have SIBO/ IBS & need this med. Our government should step up & help the seniors with these Big Pharm. Unless you are on Medicaid or have SSI or other subsidy you are screwed. Most seniors are barely making it on minimum social security as ...

I'm in afghanistan working on a project and can't make it home for another 3 weeks. My crowned tooth has become infected and has my jaw swollen. I have taken 3 doses of doxycycline and waiting to take my 4th dose (Every 12 hrs). I have yet to see improvement and the pain can be immense. I have to take (4) 200 mg ibuprofen every 4 to 6 hours to ease the pain. I rinse with salt water and peroxide on a continual basis. When can I expect to see results? Medication is limited and I'm trying to wait until I'm able to go home to see the dentist. As soon as I step off the plane, I'm heading straight to the dentist. Please advise. ## Hi, Chuck! My period was a day late when I had sex and my guy ejaculated in me. I pulled away a couple seconds later because I knew what had just happened. I left to go to work but all I could think of was "OMG I'm gonna end up pregnant." I went to CVS and bought the Plan B One Step. I took the pill within 17 hours of having unprotected sex. It's not unusual for me to go a month or two without having my period. What are the chances of me getting pregnant even though my period was already late (before having sex) and taking the morning after pill? My guy is freaking out too. He wants me to get an abortion if I'm pregnant even though he knows I'm against it.

After about 40 hours of ejaculation (box say 3 days limit) i took the plan b pill this past Tuesday; and a few (3) days after taking it my fiance climaxed inside me again. Then the next day (Nighttime 6ish) i got what i assume is my period. My flow has been heavier than it's ever been for the past few days (today being June 28th) and my cramps are more painful than its ever been. The pain woke me out of my sleep at about 5am and about 2 hours later i threw up, a lot. I've taken this pill three times before and have never had this reaction. The pills took before were the Plan-B One Step Brand. The recent one I have taken is an off-brand from a walgreens pharmacy. I've taken one BC powder and Two Midol pills and it subsided the cramping pain. Is there a possibility I could be ...
