I have Lymphedema in my both legs and its extremely painful. My Dr. gave me Topiramate Spring Cap 25 MG. Since I've been taking this pill I've LOST ALMOST 100 pounds. Is this Natural? I've tried to read up on the med, but I've never seen anything about the weight loss. I LOVE LOSING THE WEIGHT, BUT I'M A LITTLE WORRIED TOO!!! Can anyone help me? ## According to Forbes and a few other webpages, Topiramate is being heavily regarded as a weight-loss drug; much in the same light as Phentermine. how much phentermine and how much toperimate make up a qsymia capsule? ## Hello, Judy! How are you? According to the Qysmia website, the starting dose contains 3.75mgs of Phentermine and 23mgs of Topiramate ER. There are, however, guidelines for prescribing it, for instance, a patient must be 30kg/m2 or greater obese, or 27kg/m2 overweight with the presence of at least one medical risk factor. The possible side effects may include elevated heart rate, nausea, dizziness, insomnia and suicidal thoughts or actions. Is there anything else I can help with?
1 REPLY Filed under QsymiaLooking for a doctor in Akron Ohio to prescribe qysmia. my family physician said he didn't believe in it ## Qsymia (phentermine + topiramate) is used together with diet and exercise to treat obesity. Any regular MD in your area should be able to prescribe this for you. So it may just be a matter of changing doctors if your current physician doesn't agree with its use. Did you happen to ask him why he didn't believe in it? Perhaps a more straight answer from him would help you make a more informed decision when it comes to considering this medication. All I'm saying is that he must have a good reason to not want to prescribe it for his patients. Topiramate and Phentermine both list some very undesirable side effects, and I can only assume that this may be why he doesn...
