Hi. I am a 21 year old female and have been struggling to gain weight. I have a 17 month old baby. I immediately lost the baby weight/fat within 2-3 weeks. I have been losing weight ever since. Right now I weigh 75pounds and my height is 5'1. I barely have an appetite and I am barely eating. I am a very picky eater. I have tried Ensure, Pediasure, and Boost drinks but nothing is working. Also, I am Lactose Intolerant. I was wondering if there is any prescription medicine or a over-the-counter medicine that I can take to Gain Weight. ## Hello, Keishla! How are you? You need to see your doctor for assistance. If you are down to being that tiny, there may be some other health issue going on that's causing it. And when you're losing weight like that, it really is time to stop be...

Age 75+. Always complaining that he is thirsty. doctor advised not to take lot of water because of sodium drop. Always asking for water but not drinking when given as he is afraid sodium will go down. Recently getting upset about small things. ## HAS he been checked for diabeties? ## And is he on any other medications? This really makes no sense, they need to bring his sodium levels up, so he can take in the appropriate amount of fluids each day. If he gets dehydrated, that will also screw up his electrolytes, including sodium and could also put his life in danger. Since his sodium is low, why not try Gatorade or something that has electrolytes in it? Pedialyte can also be given to adults. His doctor should be consulted first, but honestly, if that's all the doctor is doing for this...

can i give my 11 yr old daughter 125mg she is complaining of gas and stomach pains, belchilg and passing gas continioully? ## Hello, Dee! How are you? The usual dose for children is 40mgs given 4 times a day, so it would be best to pick up the pediatric version, to avoid overdose, and make sure that's it okay with her pediatrician. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly include dizziness and headache. What type of foods does she eat? According to the NIH, they may be what's causing the problem. It could also occur if she drinks a lot of soda. Gulping her food, or beverages can also cause someone to swallow a lot of air, which could cause this, so she may need to eat and drink slower.

I had my first colonoscopy yesterday. Used Prepopik, got as free sample from GI doc. I was freaking out from all reviews on this product. I took this advice and it seemed to work for me: following a low residue diet 3 days prior to procedure&1 day prior only clear liquids. I started really hydrating with pedialyte, propel,& other clear liquids 3 days prior to test. I got a prescription for Zofran to help with nausea. Took 1 of those about an hour before each dosage of prep was due. Make sure you chill water so you've got really cold water to mix the powder in. Drink the prep through a big straw. The first sip wasn't horrible but then I caught sense of that sour-ish fruit aftertaste,& that almost made me choke. I had results about 30 minutes after starting. I noticed ...

I am prescribed 16mg of suboxone films per day. Recently my baby was diagnosed with a red and yellow dye allergy. Seeing how the films are orange I'm assuming there must dye in them. I have cut things out of my diet in cycles to come to this conclusion. I was a chronic orange soda drinker and when it finally came to cutting that the rash my baby was getting went away for a couple days but now is back but milder, maybe because the only dye I'm consuming is frim my suboxone? I nurse her, which is safe to do on suboxone. But I'm jus wonderING about dye levels and if it's significant enough to pass to baby. I'll obv be talking to pediatrician soon but in the meantime... ## Hello, Samantha! How are you and your baby? Has a doctor confirmed the allergy? When it comes to th...

I took Oxycodone after shoulder surgery for about 3 and 1/2 days. Besides feeling nauseous my face got quite flushed. I stopped taking it & have been off it for almost 4 days. My face is still flushed & skin is quite dry. Should I be concerned & what can I do for my face besides using facial cream to hydrate yet doesn't seem to be working? ## My friend I think you're just dehydrated, I had the same thing happen to me when I started on pain meds. They notoriously dry you up, I would recommend you to get a few bottles of Pedialyte, drink a couple in one day then sip one over the next few days. I think you'll find that it will help a great deal. Also if you've been having issues going to the restroom thats a fairly sure sign you may be a bit dehydrated. Take car...

we consulted doctor and changed his formula milk to Isomil and didnt give any fibre based milk like cerelac, ragi etc for a week. He is normal in a week. after 15 days he again having motions (not very loose) 8 to 10 times a day. please provide some advice what needs to be done in order to reduce his motion count. ## Hi Chandu! Are you talking about diarrhea? If you are, some babies can be lactose intolerant just as adults can be. That means they can't drink milk products that contain lactose. My son had that problem when he was a baby . But then again, sometimes babies will move their bowels more than others. I would talk to the pediatrician. ## P.s. Are you breast feeding at all? Because, breast fed babies will move their bowels more often and it will be loose. ## No Iam not breas...

I took a quarter of a 10 mg Lortab one day ago, will I be okay for a drug test tomorrow? ## Hi drob, I don't know what type of drug test you're going to be taking, but Lortab (Hydrocodone) can usually take up to 3-4 days to be out of your system for a urine test. In my opinion though, based on the amount taken, you should be fine within that 48 hours. I have also heard of other patients getting this drug out of their system in only 2 days time and they reportedly took more than you did. So I think the odds are certainly in your favor to pass. I hope this advice helps and wish you good luck on your test! ## By drinking lots water, Gatorade, pedilyte... How long to flush lotabs out of system
