There are certain medical conditions that it should not be used with, due to some complications it may cause.

I have been on pradaxa for about 5 months now and have noticed a thinning of my hair in the front. I am 69 and maybe it is just getting older. I have had no side effects at this time. I also take pacerone and my afib is under control. I did notice that my diabeties meds seem to be working better now as I have had to cut way down on my insulin after starting these meds. ## Hello, Diane! How are you? I believe the marking is actually intended to be P200 U-S 0147, this tablet is manufactured by Upsher-Smith Laboratories and they list it as being a 200mg Pacerone tablet. This medication is used to treat heart rhythm disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, abnormal taste and general body discomfort. Can I take Tylenol with Prednisone? I have a headache and this is all I've got. ## Hi Teresa - I checked medlineplus.gov and did not see any mention of Acetaminophen (the active ingredient in Tylenol) being listed as something to avoid while taking Prednisone. I did see blood thinners, as well as Aspirin on the list. Ultimately I would place a quick call to the pharmacy just to be safe. I am taking Pradax at the moment, but I understand that it can cause joint swellings ( which I am having). I understand there is a new drug out for treatment to atrofib ## Pradaxa is the newest that I'm aware of, it was just approved back in 2010. I am not sure what all may be available for you, since I'm based in the U.S. and going by our information here. As to the joint pain and swelling, that is a potentially serious side effect and you should contact your doctor about it immediately to have it checked out.
