However, I do know that it has been discovered and proven that a lack of the proper amount of Zinc in the body can lead to some conditions that result in severe diarrhea. So, by adding it into treatment or using it as a preventative supplement, they have helped prevent many hospitalizations and deaths in many third world countries where diet and nutrition is a continuing problem.
