Nubain Nalbuphine

Nalbuphine, sold under the brand names Nubain among others, is an opioid analgesic which is used in the treatment of pain.[3][7][5] It is given by injection into a vein, muscle, or fat.[3][5] Side effects of nalbuphine include sedation, sweatiness, clamminess, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, vertigo, dry mouth, and headache.[7] Unlike other opioids, it has little to no capacity for euphoria or respira...

I had a bad reaction to Nubain when recovering from surgery, back in my room on morphine IV drip. The nurse gave it to me and I think she was incompetent or worse. It wiped out the morphine and I immediately felt the impact of my surgery post-op. I was miserable for hours, they gave me emergency pain intervention to bring me back to where I was before she gave me the Nubain. It was a terrible experience. ## Wow, that's terrible, very sorry it happened to you. Did they provide you with any explanation for it?

This past Friday, I had an allergic reaction to Nubain. Within 5 minutes of the injection I was experiencing all over body burning chills. Within the next 20 minutes, 911 was called. 4 EMT's arrived to find me on the bed having convulsions and screaming. It too 2 of them to hold me down so benedryl cound be administered. I was taken to the ER where for the next 7 hours I screamed and convulsed, the movement was totally involuntary. I could not stop shaking. The screams were caused by the pain over my body which felt like I was on fire and being frozen at the same time. I had difficulty breating, also. It is now Wednesday and I am still fighting the reaction...I still have spasms, chills, shaking, memory loss, vision loss in right eye, pain over body and extreme sweating. I contacted...

Years ago Nubain could be ordered anywhere in the world and come in two days by ups. I couldn't believe it, then all shut down. So if it's not a class 4 drug why is it impossible to get? Acute pain is depressing my life changes. Now I suffer everyday. What can I do? ## Need help finding nubain for chronic pain in my knees and lower back. I've been looking, however unsuccessful. Can someone please tell me about its availability? ## What state are you in? I live in Tn. I do not have problems getting it. ## This is crazy, ten years ago Nubain could be delivered to your door. Now that it's gone they put me on morphine and it ruined me. Isn't there an honest pharmacy that dispenses Nubain without any hassle? I took it for depression and a brain/spinal injury. ## Who presc...

Years ago Nubain used to be a popular and effective drup for pain. It was the only thin that relieved my mom's back pain or my migrain headaches. I am a nurse and haven't heard of anyone getting Nubain in years so I asked an MD recently. He couldn't give me an answer. If it's not classified as a narcotic and relieves pain, why aren't more doctors prescribing it? ## Nubain contains the active ingredient Nalbuphine, which is still considered an opioid, though you are right, it is not classified as a narcotic and doesn't fall under the controlled substances act. I am not sure why it isn't used more often, though it may be due to the fact that it was found much more effective in women and it can actually increase pain in men. This fact actually resulted in the U....

Can Codeine be safely taken with Nubain? ## From what I was able to gather, taking Codeine with Nubain (Nalbuphine) is not recommended. I would check with your MD. I am not a doctor nor do I know your medical history, but there are many reported unpleasant side effects. They are both intense pain relievers, however Codeine is intended for mild to moderate pain, whilst Nubain is indicated for more moderate to severe pain. Depending on the severeness of the condition should determine which of the two is right for you by your MD.

I live in Los Angeles, Ca. Im trying to get Nalbuphine inj, The pharmacys dont have it.. Do someone know where to get it around here.... thanks ## Nalbuphine is a semi-synthetic opioid used commercially as an analgesic under a variety of trade names, including Nubain. Have you tried looking for various brand names of this medication? Pharmacies such as Walgreens should easily be able to mail order it with your prescription if they don't have it in stock. I would also inquire about this service as a last resort. Hope this helps! ## contact xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy} can help ## hi, looking through the forum for nubain I noticed you post, "can help". I have been to a neurologist and have tried every medicine he has prescribed. One he prescribed makes you feel high for 2 days so you can't sleep. That's no good! Another feels like your having a heart attack. There is a long list of others! The best results I have found are inj's. of nalbuphine/nubain. I can take the inj. and sleep for a couple of hours. Then I can participate with my family life. When I asked my neurologist about Nubain he said I would need to go to the the hospital, which is $1,200 a visit. (I pay my bills and want my credit to stay good) There are doctors that prescribed these inj's. at home. I have met some online and know one personally but not in my area. I want help!! It's sad to miss your daughters piano recital because you are suffering fro...

I guess no one has ever heard of Demerol before. ## Hi Chuck, I've had a couple operations where they give me Demerol shots afterwards to relieve the pain. Although I've never heard of anyone being prescribed Demerol for use at home. I'm sure it is possible, but I have only been given Demerol by injection at the surgical facility. ## nubain is as strong -probably stronger than demoral _meperdine (drug name) - and it's not anywhere online - now nubain's injectible - that's individual need whether their pain is strong enough and want instant relief - next to that is TEMGESIC, sublingual - melt under tongue. But don't take it with other opiates. Hope that helps. Just beware of your laws wherever you live even though whoever you order from knows them and does the...

the drug im looking up i actually got in a shot at the hospital when i was pregnant with my son. i cant remember the name of it because they told me the name AFTER they gave it to me and i was totally out of it. but i know it starts with an N ## nalbuphine hydrochloride < thats the name of it. i found it all by myself lol. ## If it was for pain it was probably Nubaine. It's sometimes used in birthing centers for pain as well and doesn't pose a danger to the fetus (well, not as opposed to some of the others...) ## Way to go! It is sometimes hard to remember what many of these are called. My husband just had surgery and it was hard for me to keep straight what medications he was given. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as...

I came to my doctor and asked if we could try to decrease my fentanyl use (was 100mcg) and use medical marijuana in its place. Im down to 12mcg of fentanyl, and im coping, but the pain is worse. Im really scared when I'm supposed to stop the fentanyl altogether. I've been through the sickness of withdrawl before. An ER doctor didn't check my meds before he ordered Nubain. The nursing immediately counteracts against the fentanyl and i got really sick. I never want to feel that way again. Has anyone here done this successfully? ## I could not wait to get off the Fentanyl patches. They made me feel innebriated 24/7 and so my doctor decided due to sensitive issues we will discontinue it. Taper and discontinuation was a mutually agreed to action, it was consensual. I got pass and...

And when i'm hungry i have had headech and as soon as taking food it's releav. What's solution please replay ## Have you consulted a doctor? Only a doctor is going to be able to help you get to the root of your problem and find a possible solution. If it is still occurring after 7 years, you really need to get a doctor involved. You may need to make significant dietary changes, such as eating more frequent small meals, and try some other type of medication. Nubain contains the active ingredient Nalbuphine, which is still considered an opioid, thoug...

Looked, didn't see it on list. If anyone has used, not heard about, but actually used or uses, please tell me how it compares to morphine extended release (Avinza 120mg) or Fentynal (spelling) patches 100mcg or finally oxycontin 40mg X 2. If you don't have a way to compare to them, compare it to what you know or tell me what pain you have and what it's doing for your pain. I am not sure I want to put the money out for it plus it's not tab (oral) and I'm not familiar with inj. even though pharmacy says it's simple - diabetics do it- even children. I'm a BIG baby then, because I need someone to tell me first - :) Nubaine anyone? Please advise. ## I took Nubian Injectable for 3 yrs. It worked quite well for my severe intractable migraines. it worked much better ...
