I was told necon is no longer available and was given nortel and that they are the exact same thing. Is this true? I have GI problems and migraines so a lot of things upset these. I'm wanting to make sure this is the same. ## They contain the same active ingredients, but the inactive ingredients may differ. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, weight changes, fluid retention, and PMS-like symptoms. Have you started it, yet? If so, how are you doing? Are you on any other medications?

I have had to go through 7 different BC pills to find one that I did not get horrible side effects from (nortrel) now I am forced to switch to junel because my insurance no longer covers nortrel. Can anyone tell me what the differences are between NORTREL 1-35 tablet vs. JUNEL 1.5 MG-30 MCG tablet?Are they the same with the amounts of hormone levels and amount released? I see there is ACETATE in JUNEL, What is acetate for? My doctor will not be in for the next 3 days so I would really love to know something before i end up in the hospital again because of a switch in pills by my insurance instead of my doctor! I recently started Orsythia (2 days into my third week) and since about the second week, I've had extreme nausea on and off all day, every day. It's miserable and I was wondering if anyone else has had this same problem? I have been on ortho tricyclen before with no side effects and never had this with the depo shot either. ## Hello, Lauren! How are you feeling? It might be that this just isn't the right one for you to take. Hormonal contraceptives can usually cause some nausea, as a side effect, but it's not usually that severe. Have you consulted your doctor about it? ## I was on Nortrel and I experienced Vertigo. My doc switched me to Orsythia, but I fear it will do the same thing after reading your post.
