Nicorette Nicotine

Nicotine is a naturally produced alkaloid in the nightshade family of plants (most predominantly in tobacco and Duboisia hopwoodii)[6] and is widely used recreationally as a stimulant and anxiolytic. As a pharmaceutical drug, it is used for smoking cessation to relieve withdrawal symptoms.[7][4][8][9] Nicotine acts as a receptor agonist at most nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs),[10]&#9...

I have been on chantix for a week and my quit date is tomorrow. I don't want to smoke a cigarette, but would it be alright to chew nicorette gum if the urge is still there? ## Hello----I've tried everything to quit smoking....unsuccessfully. If you chew nicorette you are still putting nicotine into your system. You change one habit for the next. My Dad quit smoking 29 years ago but has to chew nicorette everyday. Personally I feel it is better to chew the gum than smoke the cigarette. Good luck and never qive up. If you find yourself smoking be kind to yourself and try again. One thing, you really have to want to quit. Will power works the best! ## That is correct, after using the Chantix to stop using Nicotine, chewing the Nicorette would be putting it back in your body. Have y...

What is the difference between the OTC Nicorette Inhaler and the perscription Nicotrol Inhaler.? The OTC Nicorette is only $42 while the Nicotrol is $200. ## Well, to be honest with you, I looked them both up and there doesn't seem to be any difference, other than the fact that one is available over the counter and therefore much cheaper. They both come in 4mg and 10mg cartridges, of which they are to be used the same way and the same amounts are absorbed. To be honest with you, if I hadn't already quit a few weeks ago and had to spend my money on an option, I'd go for the over the counter one, since it is cheaper. Did your doctor suggest you use the prescription one?

I know the large one is nicorette, but this is a small one and is not nicorette. May possibly be norflex, but it was in a small travel case and I can't remember what it was ## No, there is no listing for Norflex or the generic Orphenadrine with this marking. Learn more Norflex details here. How small is it?

The large round pill reading NL with 25 labeled directly below, is a Nicotine lozenge made by the brand Nicorette, that is why it has a somewhat pleasant taste. ## Thank you for the identification. However, having tried them, I am not sure anyone could legitimately describe that taste as pleasant! :-) Learn more Nicotine details here. Does anyone have any comments or questions?

I was a pack a day smoker (sometimes more) until last May of 2008. I decided to quit and I did by using Nicorette gum. Well, needless to say, I became addicted to the gum. That sort of defeats the purpose of quitting or atleast getting away from the nicotine addiction. About 5 months into my journey with the gum I began chipping or cheating with the smokes again. Finding little excuses to do it like us smokers do. Sure enough about 6 months of chipping at it lead me right back to a pack a day. I tolerated myself for a few weeks, but I am destined to quit, so I asked the doc for Chantix. I read up about it before I did, and I asked him his opinion and he said he recommends it. So I started the stuff Monday 3-3-09 and today is day 9 for me...I quit smoking by wednesday 3-5-09. I didn'...

can this pill be used a muscle relaxant? ## No, a larger sized white tablet with the marking of NL4 on it is a Nicorette 4mg lozenge that's used to aid with smoking cessation. Learn more Nicotine details here. Nicotine is actually a stimulant that doesn't relax most people.

It's possible that you could have a Nicorette pill that was manufacturer by a different company or this one just includes less of the binders and fillers in the formula. What are your thoughts? big round white tablet with letters NL or NI with line then 25 ## The only thing I can find listed is Nl 325, is this possibly the marking? If so, then it contains 200mgs of Ibuprofen, a generic or store brand of Advil. ## Nicorette Lozenge.

A large round white pill with NL 2S imprint. tastes minty. but not sure what it is. I need to know as the pill has turned up completely out of the blue in our house, and need to identify it before i start accusing anyone. Any help appreciated. ## The large white pills with NL 2S are nicorette lozenges. A stop smoking aid. ## Karynn's answer is correct, this contains 2mgs of Nicotine, used as a stop smoking aid, it is a lozenge and that's why it has the minty flavor. Common side effects may include: nausea, headache, irritability and increased blood pressure. Learn more: Are there any comments or questions?

Where can I buy Cytisine strips over the counter in Nampa, Idaho? I want to stop smoking (actually I need to stop smoking). I have a surgery that needs to be done on my back and they want no nicotine in my body whatsoever. So please send me some information on this. I basically want to know if it is a nicotine free alternative to smoking because I cannot use Nicorette or the patches since they contain nicotine. I will be blood tested to make sure there is no nicotine in my body before my procedure. ## Look on eBay / Amazon or search online. It is easy to locate over the counter, but you will not find it sold in a local store. TBX-Free is one common brand but there are others. {amazon affiliate link added}

White oval pill with an F on one side and blank on the other ## Hello, Nick! How are you? I'm sorry, but I haven't been able to find anything that matches this description, yet. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. That obscurity of the imprint leads me to suspect that it is an over the counter medication. Does anyone recognize this tablet? ## I think it is OTC Nicorette Mini-Lozenges, 4mg. ## Yes that is exactly what it sounds like as my friend gave me one the other day & its the same

I found this pill in my daughters room and i would like to know what it is ## Hello, Victoria! How are you? I haven't been able to find a listing for anything that matches this description, so far and the rather obscure imprint leads me to suspect that it's something that's available over the counter. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## I just found 5 tablets, same description, in a kitchen drawer. They smelled minty so I knew not likely a prescription med. Broke off tiny piece and put on my tongue. Nicorette.

Round green Pill Has Merrell 15 on one side nothing on other side ## I haven't found a listing for a tablet with this marking, though the MERRELL logo is used on several prescription medications. Where was it found? The general location may help to narrow it down. ## Did you ever find what this pill was? ## Gosh, this must be a really old pill. According to Wikiepdia, the company Marion Merrell Dow was around until 1996. It states that they manufacured various products, including Cardizem (which treats arrhythmias and high blood pressure), Carafate (an ulcer treatment), Gaviscon (an antacid), Seldane (a withdrawn antihistamine), Nicorette (anti-smoking gum) and Cepacol mouthwash. That being said, do you have any more info as to how you came across this pill? I assume it was fairly r...

i found this pill and its more oval than oblong but there is only a m on it and thats it. I have researched it but found nothing. ## Can you provide more of a description of the M? I'm assuming it's a logo, but I'm trying to get a better idea of where to look. If there are no other letters or numbers, then my best guess is that it's likely an over the counter product. Learn more OTC drug details here. Any additional information you can provide would be helpful, including the general location where it was found. ## White oval oblong pill....Blank on one side...and a Big capital "M" ## I finally figured out that the white oval M pill was a nicorette mint/lozenge. ## A white oval pill imprinted with an M & other half design other side blank

m on one side is large curved font across middle of pill with a slash on other side ## Based on the description provided, I found two possible matches to your pill. The problem is, one of the photos of the pill is too small and blurry to see, and the other possible match doesn't even show a photo; just a description. I can however tell you the names and dosages of these pills, which you could then take over to your local pharmacy and see if they have any particular way of testing or verifying the ingredients in each pill. The first possible match is identified as Migralex - also known as Aspirin 500 mg (buffered with magnesium oxide 75 mg). National Drug Code (NDC) for this pill is: 49886-0001 The other pill with no photo is Nicorette (nicotine polacrilex 2mg). There's no drug c...
