I took 2 Aleve, then 3 - 4 hours later, 1Motrin. Should I be worried? ## Hello, Worrywort! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? This combination most likely won't do more than cause nausea and stomach pain, but it may be dangerous for some people with certain health conditions or who are on certain prescription medications. But they are both NSAIDs, so it's essentially doubling up on the same medication and should be avoided in the future.

I'm vegetarian and need to take Motrin, other then the gelatin capsule are there anymore animal ingredients in this product? Thank you. ## Once again, these are tablets, not capsules and, without knowing if you are getting the name brand or a generic, I can only provide you with information on the name brand product. Other than the active ingredient Ibuprofen, the name brand tablets are listed as containing: carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, propylene glycol, titanium dioxide. The inactive ingredients can vary in the generics, from manufacturer to manufacturer, so that is only the list for the name brand product.

I just took amitriptylin 10 mg about 4 hours ago and am having shoulder pain. Can I take some ibuprofin? ## I didn't find any interactions listed, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. Since they can both cause drowsiness and dizziness as side effects, these may be more severe if you take them both, so you should be aware of that and make sure you aren't driving or doing anything that requires high alertness, until you are sure about the effects they have on you. Are there any other questions or comments?

need more for pain ... lyrica, and wellbutrin recently increased, and also take paxil. Lots of new pain. Can I take motrin and tylenol and not permanently damage an organ over the next month ... see doc then. ## There are no interactions listed for them, however, the Motrin and Tylenol are both nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so they really should not be taken together. If the Lyrica is not helping your pain, then you should contact your doctor immediately, you may need a dosage adjustment or a different medication. Have you talked to your doctor, yet? ## Verwon, I don't know how you became a moderator for giving wrong information. Tylenol is NOT a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. ## I'm taking lyrica (50mg twice a day) the nerves pin reduced 70% but I still muscles pain,...

Is there a generic or alternative to methadone 5 mg? What options do I have for motin 800 as I had heart surgery and am now on Lasix and warfin and can no longer take motrin? I need something for inflammation! Thanks in advance. ## Hello, Ellie! How are you doing? Methadone is the generic, but there are other opiate narcotics available. The FDA does warn that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. As to a replacement for the Motrin, you may be able to take a steroid, but only your doctor can decide what's safe for you. How long ago did you have the surgery? What other medications are you taking?
